Clear Scraps | Rainbow Birthday Cards

Hello everyone… I love creating background for my cards and using stencil is one of my favorite techniques. And today, I would like to share these two rainbow birthday cards.

I am sharing the step-by-step tutorial to make these 2 birthday cards using the 6×6 Party Stencil at Clear Scraps Blog today.

I used the same steps to create the backgrounds on both cards. The first card is a shaker card.

I taped the stencil directly on top of a piece of white cardstock that I already trimmed to fit on my front card.

For the rainbow colors, I only used 3 primary color inks: red, yellow, and blue. I used Catherine Pooler Inks (Rockin’ Red, Tiara, Something Borrowed). I added the ink with blending brush one color at a time and then blended the two primary colors to get the secondary colors.

After that, I removed the stencil off the cardstock, and then I sprayed it lightly with water using the Distress Sprayer bottle. I dabbed the water off the paper with paper towel and then I dried it with craft heater. Then, I repeated the same steps to make the second background panel.

I cut out one of the background panels using on for the stitched scallop circle die from Craftin Desert Divas.

I cut out a piece of clear acetate out of an old packing box. I used Scor-Tape to secure the acetate piece on the circle window.

Next, I added 3D fun foam on the back of the panel using the Scor-Tape and then added more double sided tape on top of the fun foam.

I trimmed a piece of blue cardstock to use it as front card mat. I added it on top of a white card with Art Glitter Dries Clear Adhesive Glue.

I added some sequins in the middle of the card and then I added the stenciled background panel right on top of it. I pressed it firmly to make sure the taped adhered well.

For the sentiment, I used the Today and Everyday Stamp Set from Divinity Designs. I stamped a sentiment on a white cardstock with Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink pad, dried the ink and then cut it with the Double-Stitched Pennant Flag Die. I added the sentiment pennant on the card with 3D foam tape.

And for the second card, it is a very simple and quick card. I added the stenciled background panel on a piece of red carstock mat with Art Glitter Dries Clear Adhesive Glue. Then, I added them on top of a white card with the same permanent adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) on another white cardstock with Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink pad, and then I cut it with Double-Stitched Circle Die. I added the sentiment label on the card with 3D foam tape.

I hope these cards spark an inspiration. There are many stencils at Clear Scraps store that you can use to make handmade cards. Check them out!

CAS Thinking OF You

Hello everyone… I am here today would like to share another CAS Spring inspired card with your all…

I have been thinking all of my friends whom I haven’t seen in person, in real life for over 2 months!!! This is just way too long to not hanging out with them. I miss all of their faces and miss hugging them.

On today’s card, I use one of the beautiful Graciellie Design digital patterend papers and for my background this is from the Book Lovers Digital Paper pack. I love the rustic look on it. I printed it on a 4 x 6 matte photo paper and then trimmed it off to fit on the front of an A2 white card. I added it on the card with EZ Gran Runner.

For the doily, I cut out a white cardstock using one of the die sets that came with the Gemini Junior when I bought it couple of years ago but I haven’t had a chance to use it. Finally… I got a chance today! I added the doily on the card with Art Glitter Dries Clear Adhesive Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from Altenew – Sincere Greetings Stamp Set that I got it last year and finally got it inked with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink Pad on a blue paper from the Divinity Designs – Boho Bolds Paper Pad. I dried the stamped sentiment with craft heater and then cut it out using one of the Divinity Designs – Double Stitched Pennant Flag Dies. I added the sentiment pennant flag on the card with 3D foam tape.

I really really hope… we all get to see our friends and families face to face in person soon! Stay safe and stay healthy, y’all. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Have wonderful blessed day!

Just A Note Spring Shaker Card

Hello everyone… I hope you all had a wonderful International Mother’s Day on past weekend. My family spoiled me with my favorite things to do: going to nursery to pick up some flowers and grabbed lunch at Chick-fil-A drive through. It was fun and most of all, we spent a day as family.

I would like to share this clean-and-simple shaker card with you all. Spring is my inspiration as you can see here…

I used one of the gorgeous Graciellie Design floral digital stamp sets. This flower is from the Friends Like You Digital Stamp Set. I printed the flower on a watercolor paper with inkjet printer, I dried the printed image and then colored it using Pearlescents Watercolor paint and waterbrush. After coloring, I dried it with craft heater and then fussy cut the flower with micro-tip scissors.

I cut out a blue cardstock using one of the Divinity Designs – Double-Stitched Circle Dies for the shaker background. I covered the circle window with a piece of acetate that I cut out of old plastic box and then I added it on the card panel with Scor-Tape. I added fun foam all around it with the same tape, too.

I added the jumbo glitter and sequins in the middle of the white card base. I removed the paper of the double sided tape on the blue shaker background and then I added it on top of the card. I press firmly to make sure it adhered well.

I added the watercolored flower on the card with Art Glitter Dries Clear Adhesive Glue. I put couple stamping blocks on top of the flower to hold it down while the glue drying.

I used a A Jillian Vance Design retired stamp set, Simply Noted: Damask for the sentiment. I stamped it on a white cardstock with Catherine Pooler Ink Pad – Something Borrowed. I fussy cut around the word and I added the sentiment on the card with same adhesive glue.

I hope this card brings smiles on your face today… Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have wonderful day!

A Mother’s Love

Hello everyone…. Today, we are celebrating a special day. It is Mother’s Day.

I love this quote from Graciellie Design, Happy Mother’s Day digital stamp. And I hope this words encouraging you all today on this special day. Yes… a mother’s love endures through all. A mother won’t give up.

It reminds me of our God’s everlasting love in our lives. His love and faithfulness endures forever.

“For his unfailing love for us is powerful; the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever. Praise the Lord!”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭117:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

His unfailing love is powerful. His unfailing love saves us from death. His unfailing love gives us life. In his faithfulness we can find hope, peace and comfort.

I have met so many women who (married and single) who have given their lives to be “a mom” to others. They nurture spiritually and physically. I, myself, have a mom, mother-in-law, and many spiritual moms. I give thanks to the Lord for giving them in my life. They have left so many foot prints in my life that help and guide me to know and love God more.

Whether you are a real mom or a spiritual mom or foster mom, you are “a mom” to someone. You are leaving a foot print in someone’s life today.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Anything Goes With Dies | Graduation Gift Box Card

Hello everyone! This month is a graduation month. I know it is not the kind of graduation that we all imagine but there is one thing we can celebrate: God’s goodness in the graduate’s life.

I would like to share with you all this graduation gift box card that I made:

I used the Neat and Tangled Box Die to make that gift box. I die cut the yellow cardstock for the base box, then I cut out another purple patterned pape with the box die but this one I trimmed it to use it just for the front.

I put the box together using permanent adhesive glue, and I added it on the front of the card with same adhesive glue. I tucked in the a piece of tissue paper inside the box and I secured it with some glue.

I used an old graduation stamp set from Close To My Heart. I stamped the hat and certificate scroll with black ink pad on a white cardstock and fussy cut them with scissors. I added them on the box with adhesive glue.

Then I stamped the sentiment right under the box with the same black ink pad.

Today is the new May Anything Goes With Dies challenge goes live. There are several challenges on Happy Little Stampers blog that will give you inspirations to create this month. Hope you all can play along with our challenge and share your projects with us.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Have a wonderful day.
