Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge | Coffee + Snowflakes

Hello coffee loving friends! Today, I am a guest at the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge blog. This is a fun challenge for you who love caffein and Christmas card!

Inspired by this month’s theme: Coffee + Snowflakes, I made this coffee snowflake shaker card using the die sets and stamp set from our sponsor, A Jillian Vance Design.

I used the Bold Snowflake Die to make that snowflake shaker background. I saved the snowflake die cut to use on another project later. I added a piece of acetate paper with double-sided tape on the back the negative snowflake die cut and then I added some 3D foam tape. I added mix of sequins and jumbo glitter on it and added a piece of silver glitter cardstock on it. I added the whole shaker to the card base with enough permanent adhesive glue.

I stamped the cup from More Coffee and Jesus Stamp Set on a white cardstock with permanent black ink pad and then colored it with alcohol markers. I fussy cut it with scissors and then added it to the card with permanent adhesive glue.

The sentiment is a die cut word from Merry Christmas Script Word Die. I used gold brush to color the letters and added the whole sentiment to the card with permanent adhesive glue.

I cut out some of the small snowflakes from the Sam E. Snowman Die Set and added them on the card with permanent adhesive glue, too.

Final step, I added some white paint splatters on the card for extra snow effect.

Congratulations Mixed Media No-Bulky Shaker Card

Hello all… I hope you all well and safe. It has been windy, rainy, cold winter days here. Staying warm in my craft room, I made this mixed media, no-bulky, shaker card for the first time. It was fun to try new technique.

I used supplies Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps:

I made a mixed media background mat using texture paste, Lindy’s Magic Shaker, Finetec Watercolor paint.

I love this new stamp set. I can stamp inside the card with this Bible verse message.

For stamping, I used VersaFine Clair ink pads and Mini MISTI stamping tool. With stamping tool, it is easy to create 2-shades gradient sentiment. After stamping, I dried the ink and fussy cut it with scissors.

I like the result. And I think this my new favorite way of making shaker card. No bulky, flat enough to fit in envelope and mail friendly.

So, have you tried this technique yet?

D2BA | Roses For A Lifetime

Who doesn’t want roses for a lifetime? Today, I would like to share this rose card with you all. When I saw the new Layered Rose Stamp Set at D2BA store, I fell in love with this set.

I created the roses background panel by stamping the image on a white cardstock with Totally Black Artzy Ink Pad. After stamping, I cut the panel with Double Dot Circle Framelit Dies and Rectangle Framelit Dies. I added it to the card base with permanent adhesive runner.

The sentiment is from the Layered Rose Stamp Set that I stamped with Totally Black Artzy Ink Pad using my Mini MISTI stamping tool.

I stamped image stalk of rose with the Totally Black Artzy Ink Pad on a white cardstock and then stamped the layers of the petal and leaves with dye inks using my Mini MISTI stamping tool. I cut the rose with the matching Layered Rose Die Set. I added it to the card with 3D foam dots.

Then I cut couple of the red hearts with the heart die from the Layered Rose Die Set and I added them to the card with 3D foam dots. Then I added some of the gems to embellish the card.

I hope this project inspires you. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Have a wonderful day!

D2BA | Sending Love with Handmade Cards

Hello crafty friends… Love is in the air and Valentine’s Day is less than a month now! Today I would like to share these ideas of sending love with handmade cards.

I always love making projects with stencils and this time, I used stencils to create all the backgrounds on these 3 cards. When I use stencils, I not only get 1 print but 3 or 4 prints. To create these stenciled backgrounds, I used Distress Oxide sprays and watercolor paint with the Heart Duo Stencils using spray over stencil technique, stamping with stencil technique, and ghosting with stencil technique.

First card, I cut the stenciled panel with Rectangle Framelit Dies and I popped up the middle panel with 3D foam tape. For the sentiment, I used the Hello Word Die set. I embellished it with some gems. This is a quick and simple card to make.

The second card, I used the Rectangle Framelit Dies to cut the background panel and added it to the card with permanent adhesive runner tape. And then, I make a tag shaker with Mini Hugs Tag Die set. I also cut the sentiment word from the same die set. The flower is from the Breezy Blossoms Stamp Set and I cut it with the matching Blossoms Die.

This third card is a mini slimline card and also a clean and simple card. I cut a pink card stock and the stenciled panel with the Slim Mini Wavy Layers Die. And then, I cut the heart shape using the heart die from the Heart Background Die and I used 3D foam tape to pop it up on the card. The sentiment is from the Love You Double Layered Word Die, I cut the little heart in the middle of the phrase with scissors and I added it to the card with permanent adhesive glue.

You can make these cards with supplies you have and can be sent out to anyone at any time you need to, not only on the Valentine’s Day. Let’s spread some love with handmade cards!
