Here are the theme and sketch for this month for you to create your project. Make sure to check the challenge rules here to play along. And you can link up you project here.

And here is my card using both the theme and sketch. I created the background with some Distress Inks that I added on my craft mat and spray with water, then I dipped my watercolor paper on it. I used Craft heater to dry it. When it was dry completely, I placed the ARTplorations Stencil – Star Align on my card and added some white gesso. I did not cover the whole background with it, just some in the middle. Then I set it aside to dry.

While the gesso was drying, I worked on the sentiment. I cut a strip of Black Cardstock, I stamped the hashtag awesome from Bold Sentiment – Hashtag Authentic stamp set with VersaMark ink pad and added some Super Fine Embossing Powder on it. I heat set it with Craft Heater. Then I cut out a strip of White Daisy Cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I checked the background card but it was still a bit wet so I dried it with my craft heater before I added the sentiment strips on it. This craft heater is a handy tool for sure Once the stenciled background dried completely, I added the black embossed sentiment first with adhesive runner and then the white one with 3D foam tape. I finished the card with Triangle Durable studs.
