Hello everyone… I hope you all are doing well this season… It is still Summer here and I am dreaming of peaceful beach these days.
I grew up in a tropical country and my hometown is surrounded by ocean. We literally can just go to the beach by the side of the road. I miss my hometown a lot. It is inspired me to make this peace mixed media shaker card.

I am sharing this mixed media shaker card at Clear Scraps Blog, too.
I painted the beach shoreline with watercolor paint on a 140 lbs watercolor paper for the background. For me, painting is relaxing. I dried the finished painting with craft heater for faster drying process but you can let it air-dry.
I used the 3 x 12 Peace be still Stencil for the sentiment. I taped the stencil on top of the watercolor paper with some low-tack ThermOWeb purple tape, and then I used sponge dauber to add the Imagine Crafts White pigment ink on it. After that, carefully I peeled off the tape and dried the pigment ink with craft heater.
I added the finished background on the 5×7 card base with TapeRunner adhesive.

I painted the Mini Shaker Flip Flops with acrylic paints and small round detail brush. I used teal and white paints.
After the paints dried, I stacked them together with strong permanent adhesive glue and I put a heavy book on top until the glue dried.

After the glued dried, I added some of the giant irridescent sequins in the middle of the flip flop. I removed the clear film plastics from the acetate (all Clear Scrapes acetate plastic have protected clear films on both sides) and then I added the acetate plastic on top of the flip flop with strong adhesive glue. Then I added the last piece of the flip flop and the metal flowers on the flip flop with strong adhesive glue, and carefully I put the heavy book on top of it until the glue dried well.
I added the finished shaker flip flop on the card with the TapeRunner adhesive.
I hope this card cheers you all up today! Thank you so much for stopping by.
