CAS Sympathy Cards

Hello everyone… This is my second post for today 🙂 And still Spring is my inspiration when I created these 3 CAS Sympathy Cards.

CAS Sympathy Cards with STAMPlorations, Leisure Arts Watercolor Colored Pencils and Imagine Crafts Inks

I am in love with the STAMPlorations – Blossom Overture Stamp Set. This stamp set has beautiful flowers and sentiments that are great for making card for any occasion. On the background, I used the Nestled Circles ARTplorations Stencil with Distress Ink using Monoprinting With Stencil technique. Head over to STAMPlorations Blog to read the full post and tutorial 🙂

But I would like to share with you here how I created those roses… So…about a week ago I received a pack of 30 Watercolor Colored Pencils and I have been wanting to try them 🙂 And this project is my first time using them.

CAS Sympathy Cards with STAMPlorations, Leisure Arts Watercolor Colored Pencils and Imagine Crafts Inks

First, I stamped the flowers 3 times on a watercolor paper using VersaFine Onyx Black with Mini MISTI.

I dried the stamped rose images with craft heater, but this VersaFine ink dries fast without this step. Next step, I colored the roses by adding the color just the part where the darkest shade is gonna be.

And then using a small round brush (or use brush that comes with this pack) I turned the colored images into watercolored images. I wet the tip of the brush, not to much water needed, and then gently I pulled the color pigment from the bottom to top to fill all the mage with color. I did the same way with the stalk and leaves.

Check out how beautiful the colors blended and turn out into watercolor paint… oh… I AM FALLING IN LOVE WITH THESE WATERCOLOR PENCILS at the first try!!! They become one of my favorite coloring mediums already!

I use micro-tip scissors to fussy cut the roses to use on these cards together with the sentiments that I stamped them with Memento Dew Drop Inks. I finished the card with white pearl gems.

Project Thursday ~ Faith, Hope, Love ATC Cards

Precious Remembrance

Hello everyone… I so thankful for the faith, hope, and love that shown by my one and only Savior and LORD, Jesus Christ. Today is the time for another Project Thursday and I have 3 Mixed Media ATC cards to share with you all.

Precious Remembrance Project Thursday - Faith, Hope, Love ATC Cards with Leisure Arts Premium Colored Pencils

Stamps I used on my mixed media ATC cards are from Precious Remembrances: Sketchy Alphabets Stamp Set, New Day Stamp Set, and Love Coupon Stamp Set. I am sharing full post about how I created this ATC cards on Precious Remembrance Blog today.

I created the backgrounds with some acrylic paints and things I can find aroud the house, such as toile paper roll, plastic knife, buble wrap, and old credit card that I cut one of the edge with kids wave scissors. On each card, I added the twine on the card and secure it with mini staplers.

I received a set of 30 – Pack Premium Colored Pencils from Leisure Arts last week. I used these pencils to color each word on the sentiment. I LOVE these pencils a lot. I used 3 shades of colors on each word, and they blended very well without any blender pencils or blending solution. The colors of these pencils are beautiful and beautiful. Check out these close ups:

Mixed Media Pocket Tag and ATC Card

Hello everyone… Today… apparently it is not Spring, it is Winter again! We got some snow! I hope… the Spring will be here and stay… 🙂

I spent part of this cold day in my craft room and work on some projects. One of them is dressing up one of these mixed media tags.

I have been learning some mixed media technique at Stamp Nation Class: Eat, Sleep, Create – Mixed Media for Cardmakers. If you are not a member yet, you might want to check this forum out!

I created a pocket tag for ATC card. Started with adding some White Gesso on the tag and let it sit to dry while I was sewing some of the scrap patterned papers.

I cut the paper diagonally to create the pocket. Then I added it on the tag with ScorPal tape. I trimmed the extra paper with scissors. Then using my finger, I added some White Gesso on that pocket for extra texture.

I added some White Gesso on a watercolor paper, then dried it with craft heater. After that, I added some of the purple and blue Gelato on it and blended them with baby wipes.

I use Retro Circles ARTplorations Stencil to add the homemade texture paste, dried it with craft heater and then on top of the card, I stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations Literary Caffein-ations stamp set with Black Archival Ink Pad.

I stamped one of the cup image from STAMPlorations Sketchy Coffee Cups stamp set with Black Archival Ink pad, colored it with Faber-Castell Stamper’s Big Brush Pens. I also use Faber-Castel Black Brush Pen to trace the cups and added some shadow with Faber- Castell Grey Brush Pen.

I trimmed the card to ATC size – 2 1/2″ x 3 12″, insert it inside the pocket tag and add this tag on my Mixed Media Tag Ring 🙂

Before you go… There is a special sale at STAMPlorations Store! I hope you enjoy this post and keep creating! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Cafe Dreamers Collaboration Blog Hop

Coffee Loving Cardmakers

Hello Coffee/Cocoa/Tea Crafty Friends… Welcome to the Coffee Loving Cardmakers and Little Acres Creations Collaboration Blog Hop!

Today both design team is sharing their coffee/cocoa/tea themed projects showcasing the new stamp, Cafe Dreamers stamp set from Little Acres Creations. And I have 2 cards to share with you today.

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Cafe Dreamers Collaboration Blog Hop

My first card is a mixed media card. I created the night sky background with Gelatos. I scribble the shades of blues and black Gelatos on a watercolor paper and blended them with baby wipe. Then, I added some white acrylic paint with fan brush.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne and Mini MISTI. And I dry it with craft heater because this is a pigment ink that dries slowly. With Mini MISTI, I can arrange the 2 sentiments on the card and I bend the top shaped like an arch.

I added the finished background panel on a card base with dries-clear adhesive glue.

I stamped mouse sitting on the cup image twice, one I stamped on a green patteren paper and one I stamped on a white cardstock with Versafine Clair Nocturne. I dried them with craft heater so I can add colors immediately.

I fussy cut the cup and cut off the mouse then I added some black Gelato and blend it with baby wipe. For the mouse,  I colored it with Grey watercolor pencil, and pull the colors with watercolor brush, then I fussy cut the mouse. I added the mouse on the cup with dries-clear adhesive glue.

I added the cup on the card with 3D adhesive. And I added some clear star sequins and more white stars that I drew with White UniBall Gel Pen.

First card is done…. but I cannot stop… I just had to make one more card with this adorable stamp set 😀

On my second card, I tried the no-line coloring technique. It is a challenge for me. I stamped the image on a white cardstock with Antique Linen Distress Ink using Mini MISTI.

I colored the image with Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils and Prismacolor Colorless Blender Pencil. I added some shadow at the bottom of the cup with Watercolor pencils and watercolor brush. And then I cut it with one of the Fancy Frame Dies – Craftin Desert Divas.

I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock with Versafine Clair Cheerful and trimmed it with paper trimmer.

I added the flower patterned paper on the card base as the background, and then I added the polkadots and brown stripe paper strips on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue.

I wrapped some natural twine ribbon on the colored panel and added on the card with 3D foam tape, and then I added the sentiment also with the 3D foam tape.

Second card is done…

Joy Clair

Hello everyone… We start to plan our garden and so looking forward to enjoy the flowers. Today, inspired by Spring flowers, I have a mixed media card for a friend to share with you all.

Hello My Beautiful Friend - Mixed Media Card With Joy Clair Stamp

In the last several days, I learned fun mixed media technique at Stamp Nation, one of then is creating background and turn it into a finished project. I used couple techniques on this card 🙂
