Mixed Media Thank You Card With Vellum Flower

Hello everyone… I am here today would like to share with you a fun mixed media card with stamps, die sets, gelatos, texture paste, and 3D handmade flowers.

I used the Lattice Background die set from Our Daily Bread Designs as the stencil to add the Ranger texture paste on the canson watercolor paper. Then I set it aside to dry.

While waiting for the background to dry, I die cut the rose petals and flowers with dies from Our Daily Bread Designs out of vellum papers. And then I added some of the Diamond Stickles on the edge of each petal and leaf. Then I put them together with dries clear adhesive.

Then I die cut one fancy fan die from Our Daily Bread Designs and then stamped the sentiment on it with Versafine Onyx Black ink pad.

Once the background dried well, I trimmed  the edge to fit as the mat on the cardbase. Then I added some gelatos on top of the edge, blend them with my finger, and then sprayed them with some water to create the dripping look on them.

Than I added some splats on the background with London Fog FireWorks! Spray.

To put together the card, I added the background panel on the card base with Tombow Xtreme adhesive. Next is I added the sentiment fancy fan on the card with glue dots, and then the 3D vellum flower with the clear dries adhesive.

And that’s my card for today. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do and inspired you to create today. THANK YOU for visiting me today and have a fabulous day!

Mixed Media Tag: You Can Fly, Be Free

Hello everyone… One of the reasons I love Spring is not only the flowers are blooming, but also the birds are singing beautifully outside of our windows at the backyard all morning.

Inspired but the birds, I created this mixed media tag for my tag ring:

I cut out canson watercolor paper 140 lbs for my tag base. Than I added some shades of blue and purples from Koi watercolor paint on the background.

I use Some Birds – ARTplorations stencil and Bloom Silhouettes – ARTplorations Stencil. I used make sponge to add the Black Distress Ink in the tag using those stencils. And then I dabbed the GooseBumps on top of the ink for extra texture on the images. Let it dried well.

Once the background was completely dry, I added some some splatters on it. Started with water, some of the London Fog FireWorks! Spray, and then I added some of the GooseBumps at the last.

I stamped the sentiment from Trendy Birds 2 – STAMPlorations stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad on white cardstock and I trimed them into word stripes. I added them on the tag with mini stapler.

I hope you all enjoy this tag as much as I do 🙂 THANK YOU for stopping by my blog today!

HLS Watercolor Challenge: Guest Designer

Hello everyone… I love watercoloring with any medium. And today I am a guest designer at Happy Little Stampers – May Watercolor Challenge.

I created a CAS, Watercolored card for Mother using Joy Clair stamps: Spring Time Flowers and Hello Sentiments

I added some white splatters on the background with Koi Watercolor Paints. And set it aside to dry.

I stamped the sentiment with Mini MISTI to created the shadow on the word Happy. First I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad and then slightly moved the paper to the right and below, and I stamped again with Memento London Fog Dew Drop ink pad. I used micro-tip scissors to cut out the sentiment. The rest of the sentiment, I stamped them on a white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and cut them into word strips.

Then I stamped the flower on a watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink pad. I added some of the Imagine Crafts – FireWorks Rose Bud spray on my craft mat and then pick it up with watercolor brush to color the flower. Once it dried, I added some glitter using Spectrum Noir Glitter Brush Pen for extra sparkle on it.

I added the flower on the card base with 3D foam tape, then added the sentiment on in with 3D foam tape also. And I added the word strips under them with Tombow mono permanent adhesive runner.

I finished the card with some peal gems. and it is done. I hope you like it and inspired to create your own handmade cards for Mother’s Day.
