Merry Everything: A Christmasy Coffee Cup Card

Christmas is 2 months away. I started my Holiday cardmaking adventure since September. Today, I’d like share a fun card for coffee loving friends 🙂

Merry Everything | Coffee Cup Card www.helengullett.com | Free Cutting File from 17Turtles #ctmh #sotmoctober #christmascard #diecutting #silhouettecameo #freecuttingfile #handmadecard #cardmaking

First, using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut the kraft cup shaped card from Juliana Michaels. It is a free cutting file – download here.

I use CTMH October Stamp of The Month: Twinkle (S1510). I stamped the lights using Black exclusive inks stamp pad and colored them using Faber-Castell Mix & Match pencil colors.

Twinkle (S1510) - CTMH Stamp of The Month, Oct 2015

I stamped the circle stars slightly at the bottom corner card using White Daisy exclusive ink pad to create a background for the label tag. But I felt like it needed something. Then randomly stamoed the mini stars all over the card with White ink pad, too.

Untitled

On a piece White Daisy cardstock, I stamped the tag label and sentiment using Cranberry exclusive inks stamp pad and the fussy cut around it. I finished my card with neutral baker’s twine and some clear gemstones.

This SOTM Twinkle (S1510) is D-sise stamp set that you can get it only $5 with qualifying order of $50 or more during the month of October.

Sending Prayers

In the last couple of weeks lots of people been praying for us, especially for our daughters who were sick at the same time. They caught the virus and took some times to heal. But this week they are recovering, the Big girl is going back to school and the Little girl’s appetite is back. We are truly grateful for all of you and for your prayers!

We need prayers every moment, every day. It is not only when we are in troubles or having hard situations, but also in many things we give thanks to the Lord in prayers. We are so thankful for people who join our prayer team to pray for the ministry we do among the people of SEA*, to pray for the Bibleless and Unreached people groups there and for us.

It is an honor and a blessing for us when we can pray for you and others, too.  Prayers is powerful and we have seen how God answered prayers in the past and we are looking forward to see His glory revealed when He answer prayers.

I would love to share a card today I made for a dear friend. She just got a news from doctor that her husband has cancer. It is devastating news for her and her family. My thoughts and prayers for her and her family. We have hope in Christ. We have faith to see God be with them to go through it all and heal her husband from cancer.

On this card I did the ombre watercolor background. You can let it dry on the side or you can use Craft Heater to let it dry. I let the watercolor paper dried on the side while I did some diecutting.

For the prayers sentiment, I cut 6 times and stacked them together so it will be thicker like that. To stack them together, it is best using fine point glue pen.

I added some Silver glitter cardstock strips to the top and bottom of the ombre paper. I saw there were some empty space around the sentiment, so I added some of the hearts, scattered them around the sentiment.

Thanks for visiting today! Have a wonderful day!

Shaker Cards with FUSEables Kit

FUSEables Shaker Cards | Helen Gullett www.helengullett.com #FUSEables #wrmk #wermemorykeepers #creatingjoyfully #handmadecard #shakercard #cardmaking

Making cards is a hobby that I find it challenging me to be creative with designs that is mailing-friendly, not requiring too much extra stamps to send it. Shaker card is one of them.

I learned making shaker cards using thicker foam tapes. Shaker cards is so much fun, don’t you agree? But to send the shaker card is required more postage compare to regular mail. I do not mind at all to send with more postage especially sending cheers to others!

Few weeks ago, I got the FUSAable Tool and Card kit from HSN. This kit includes the Fuse tool, mat, rulers, Fuseable sleeves, and Fuseable cardmaking kit (including the matching color sequins!!)

I learned to make shaker cards using this Fuse Tool with Fuse Sleeve. It is super easy and quick!!! I am in love with this new FUSEables kit from We R Memory Keepers.

Check out these 4 shaker cards I made in less than 30 minutes!

FUSEables Shaker Cards | Helen Gullett | www.helengullett.com | #FUSEables #wrmk #wermemorykeepers #handmadecard #shakercard #cardmaking #creatingjoyfully

When using this FUSE tool it is safer with no kids around because it is super hot! It came with the stand but it is best to put the stand on the silicon mat so it won’t slide when you put the FUSE tool on it. If you put on the table, it will slide. Be careful.

The FUSEables papers and embelishments make making cards easy and fun. It gives extra texture on the card, just like you sew your card, these cards you can see the texture of the FUSE tool when I attach the embellishment on the background paper.

And these shaker cards are flat enough to mail with regular postage and they are still fun and cute, right?

I love this kit and will make more cards. And I think wanna try pocket scrapbooking now with this FUSEable sleeves!

Thank You for visiting today and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Disclaimer: This is not a review blog post. It is all my own opinion about this kit and I bought the kit on my own. We R Memory Keepers and HSN did not ask me to do review on the kit and did not provide me free kit.

WCMD 2015 Challenge with Winnie & Walter: Day 3

Today is the third day I am playing with Winnie and Walter Challenges on their blog. You still can join their challenges until Sunday, October 11th, 2015. Read the detail of these challenges here.

This is the card I link up today at these challenges:

Winnie & Walter - WCMD Challenge

On this card, I stamped those flowers and leaves from The Big, The Bold and Extras stamp set using using Faber Castell Mix & Match – Stamper’s Big Brush Pens(*). Then I stamped the sentiment and banner from The Big, The Bold and Happy stamp set using using Faber Castell Mix & Match Stamper’s Big Brush Pen set of 3 – Gold(*). These Faber Castell Stampers Big Brush Pens are amazing! They do not bleed through my card. They are high quality India Ink that you can apply directly on any kind of stamps.

I finished my card using Sequins Assortment Gold from CTMH. They already have glue dots and ready to use on the project.

Thansk for visiting today!
