Clear Scraps | Peace Tall and Slim Card

Hello crafty friends! Today, I would like to share with a tall and slim card. It has been a while I haven’t made this type of card and I had fun making this one.

This month, Clear Scraps is having a cross promo with TapeRunner. And today is my turn. On Clear Scraps Blog, I am sharing step-by-step tutorial how to make this Peace tall and slim card using the Fern Branch Chipboard Shape Embellishment and 6″ Fruit of the Spirit Stencil.

I cut out the tall and slim card base using Silhouette Cameo 3. For the background mat, I trimmed a piece of scrapbook paper into 3″ x 8 7/8″ and then I distressed one edge of the paper with my distresser tool (if you don’t have this tool, you can also use scissors, but be very careful!). I added the paper on the card with the TapeRunner.

I taped the 6″ Fruit of the Spirit Stencil on the card using painter tape. I also taped around the word and then using make up sponge, I added the two shades of green VersaFine Clair Pigment Inks on the card. I removed the stencil to clean the ink of the stencil.

I dried the pigment ink on the card with craft heater, then I added some anti-static powder on it. I taped stencil back on the card. Using the Ranger Embossing Dauber, I added the clear embossing ink on the word. I removed the stencil carefully of the card and sprinkled some of the Ranger Fine Clear Embossing Powder on the word, then heat set the powder with craft heater.

I cut the Fern Branch Chipboard Shape Embellishment with scissors of its frame. Using the same embossing dauber, I covered the chipboard surface with the clear embossing ink. I put the inked fern branch on top of a coffee filter, and then sprinkled the WOW! Trio Bundled Up Embossing Glitter (Sage) on it. I poured the whole jar on it to make sure it was covered well with the embossing powder. I tapped off the embossing powder on the coffee filter and I pour the rest of the embossing powder inside the jar.

I preheated my craft heater for couple seconds and then heat set the embossing powder. It was super fun to watch the embossing powder melt on the chipboard. I added the embossed fern branch on the card with the TapeRunner. And then, I embellished the card with some pearl gems I have in my stash.

Anything Goes With Dies | Thank You CAS Card Set

Hello everyone! It is time for a new challenge. Today, I have this set of thank you card to share with you all.

I choose CAS style and stay with simply black-and-white colors so it also can be masculine cards. This is a quick card to make in less than 10 minute.

On these cards, I use the older flower stamp and die kit from Hero Arts, so does the sentiment stamp and die set.

I stamp the flowers and sentiments using VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad and diecutting using my Gemini Junior machine.

I added the flower on the card with permanent glue adhesive and popped up some of the petals with 3D foam tape. I added the die cut thanks sentiment word with 3D foam tape.

Card Chain Challenge | The 3000th Sender Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share about a fun card challenge and swap community where I met lots of crafty friends from around the world.

It is called the Card Chain Challenge. It is not a regular card challenge, it is a place where you can meet new crafty friends, make a card base of the given options, and send it to a friend.

Yes…This is an international card that challenge for us to not only make a card but actually send it out! And I have been participating with this card swap for since 2013. Here’s my card that I sent to my friend in Netherland for the CCC May Challenge:

I picked the May Theme Options: Repeat (more than one of something)/ Fruit / Friendship. I made CAS card with this theme.

I stamped the circles from the Preciouse Remembrance – Little Things Stamp Set repatedly with VersaFine Clair ink pads in rainbow colors. And I stamped the sentiment from the Preciouse Remembrance – Positive Thoughts Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair Nocture ink pad. I added the heart (from the Bits & Pieces : Love Coupon) in the middle of one of the circle using 3D foam tape.

Stencil Challenge | Mixed Media Card For A Wonderful Friend

Hello hello hello everyone! It is JUNE!!! We are are half way through the year 2020 now. This is surely a different year that we all experience. But my wonderful friends… There is still hope becuase the Living and Mighty God got this! Keep the faith and live in the hope every day.

Today, I would love to share this mixed media card that I created for the new STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge for June. For more inspirations and to read the challenge rules, visit their blog.

On my mixed media card today, I use Rubber Bands ARTplorations Stencil, Sweetly Stamp Set, Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.

I taped the Rubber Bands ARTplorations Stencil on a heavyweight white cardstock, put it inside a box, and sprayed the Spray paints (red, blue and yellow) to create that fun rainbow background. I added couple more paint splatters on it with each color spray nozzle.

I dried the background panel with craft heater and then cut it with one of the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies. I added the background panel on a white card with E-Z Runner Gran.

I stamped the flower image from the Sweetly Stamp Set on a watercolor paper with VersaFine Onyx Black, and I colored it using watercolor pencils and Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Brush.

I dried the finished watercolored image with craft heater and then I cut it with one of the circle die I had in my stash. I added the circle image on the card with 3D foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sweetly Stamp Set with Something Borrowed CP Ink Pad on a white cardstock, trimmed it into a sentiment strip and I added it on the card with permanent glue.

DIY Family Puzzle Picture Board

Hello hello hello… Happy Friday! Today, I would like to share with you a fun home decor project.

I made this Family Picture Board using the one of the new Clear Scraps Wooden Puzzles and Mini Shaker Family. I am sharing this project at the Clear Scraps Blog today.

I started with tracing each puzzle piece on each scrapbook paper with pencil. After that, I cut each of the scrapbook paper with scissors.

I added the cut out paper on top of each puzzle piece using the 3-in-1 Beacon Adhesive Glue. And then, I used wood glue to put together the puzzle and let it sit to dry.

While waiting for the puzzle to dry, I put together the Mini Shaker Family. I stacked each layer of the chipboard piece with 3-in-1 Beacon Adhesive Glue. I put a heavy book on top of it while the glue was drying.

I removed the clear plastic covers from both sides of the acetate plastic and then I glued it on the other chipboard piece using the same glue.

Before I added the top layer, I added some beads inside it as the shaker filler. And then I added the top layer with the same adhesive glue, too. I put the heavy book again on top of it while the glue was drying.

When the house puzzle pieces were glued well, I added the finished Mini Shaker Family on the middle top part of the puzzle board with 3-in-1 Beacon Adhesive Glue as the title of this picture board.

I added the thick burlap twine on top of the puzzle board and secure it with the same adhesive glue. After that, I added the mini clothes pins on the burlap twine. I simply clipped them, no glue. But if you would like to keep them in place, you can use either strong permanent glue adhesive or wood glue to secure the in place.

I hope this project give you another inspiration to make fun home decor with Clear Scraps.
