Stamping on Stencil Foliage Card

Hello crafty friends! Today, I wanna share a fun technique to create your background with a stencil and stamping on it. Let’s make this foliage thoughtful card together!

Step 1 – To create the first layer of the background panel, tape the cardstock on the back of the stencil with removable/stencil tape. Pick up some of the ink from the Pistachio Memento Dew Drop ink pad using a blending brush and add it to the cardstock. Do not remove the stencil after adding ink to it.

Step 2 – Adding some texture to the stenciled background, start stamping over the stencil randomly using the Gray Flannel Memento Dew Drop ink. Remove the stencil carefully from the cardstock. Spray some All-Purpose Stamp Cleaner on the stencil and gently wipe the stencil clean using a towel or stamp shammy.

Step 3 – Cut the finished background panel with one of the stitched rectangle dies. Add it to the front card with Tear It! Tape.

Step 4 – Cut a piece of white cardstock with one of the small stitched rectangle dies. Stamp the potted plant image on the cardstock using Gray Flannel Memento Dew Drop ink.

Step 5 – Next step is coloring the stamped image with alcohol markers. All Memento inks are alcohol-friendly. Cut out a piece of light kraft cardstock just a little bit slightly larger than the stamped image panel. Put them together using some of the Tear It! Tape.

Step 6 – Stamp the sentiment on another piece of light kraft cardstock with Gray Flannel Memento Dew Drop ink pad. Cut the sentiment with the banner die.

Step 7 – Add the potted plant panel to the center of the card with Tear It! Tape. Add some of the Tear It! Tape to a piece of white fun foam to create your own 3D foam tape. Add the foam tape on the back of the sentiment banner and add it to the card.

It is a fun and easy card to make by creating your own background and some extra texture to it. It is a mail friendly card even though it has some layers. I hope you will give it a try!
