Stencil Sunday | Stamping With Stencils

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! Today, I have a couple of clean-and-simple cards to share with you that I created using the stamping with stencils technique.

I am sharing these projects for Stencil Sunday feature post at STAMPlorations Blog.

On this first card, I use the Leaf Prints mini stencilCrazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting DiesDragonfly Layering Dies, and Faith Expressions.

For the background, I added the Distress Oxide ink on the craft mat, sprayed with water, and then I smooshed in the watercolor paper. I dried it with craft heater.

Next, I added the same ink with blending brush, sprayed it with some water and then I flipped it on top of the watercolored paper. I added a piece of paper towel and gently pressed. I dried it with craft heater and then I cut the panel with the rectangle die. I added the first layer on a white card with permanent adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment on the middle panel with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad, and then I added it in the middle of the card with 3D foam tape. I cut out a piece of black cardstock with the dragonfly layering dies and I added it on the card with permanent glue.

On my second card, I use the Make Marks 5 stencil, Thank You Coffee, and Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.

I use the same technique to create that background using stencil, Distress Oxide inks, and water. I picked rainbow colors for the background.

I stamped the coffee cup image with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad with Mini MISTI on a white cardstock. I dried the stamped image and then I fussy cut it with micro-tip scissors. I added it on the card with 3D foam tape. Then I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Clair ink pad.

Stamping with stencils is one of the fun ways to create background and texture with stencil. I hope these cards inspired you all to get creative with stencils.

Stencil Challenge November Reminder | Good Tiding Of Comfort And Joy

Hello everyone…. I am here today with a Christmas card. I know it is not the season yet, but it is not too early for making Christmas card, right?

I use the Dream Flower ARTplorations StencilHomespun Christmas Stamp SetStitched Tags Nesting Dies  and Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies on this card.

I created a watercolor background with Color Burst powder and water on a watercolor paper. After that, I added the stencil and sprayed with more water and dabbed off the water from the paper through the stencil. This give a light ghosting look on the background. I dried it with craft heater.

After that I used the stencil again to add more texture on the background, around the edges with white pigment ink and make up sponge.

I dried the background with craft heater again, and then I cut the watercolor paper with the rectangle dies and tag die. I added the background on a white card with permanent adhesive runner and I added the tag with 3D foam tape.

I stamped the images with Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink on a white cardstock, and then I colored them with watercolor markers and waterbrush. I dried them with craft heater and then fussy cut them with scissors. I stamped the sentiment with Tulip Red VersaFine Clair ink pad on a white cardstock, trimmed it into a sentiment strip. I added them all on the card with permanent adhesive glue.
