Many Smiles Begin With You

Welcome to Joyful Stars April Blog Hop. This is a monthly blog hop from a group of Close to My Heart Independent Consultants.

JoyfulStarsBlogHopBadge1_stephanie

If you arrive from Lori’s blog , then you are on the right track. If you happen to be here first, please keep on hopping to visit my fellow consultants’ projects. The hop starts at Joyce’s blog where you can find the full list of participants for this month.

This time I made a note card featuring Smiles Begin With You Stamp SetBlossom Paper Packet, Sequins Gold Assortment and Stitching Guide.

Creating the chalkboard looking card is very easy. On a piece of Black cardstock, stamp the sentiment with VersaMark ink pad and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder. Then, using a piece of paper towel or tissue, with circular motion add the White Daisy Pigment Ink all over the cardstock. And I usually dry the pigment ink using Craft Heater for quick drying, but you can let it sit on the side for air-drying if you are not in hurry.

Then I add the banners I cut form Blossom Paper Packet and add at the corner of the card using adhesive runner. Using the Stitching Guide and Stitching mat + needle set (retired, but I recommend to get this Stitching Mat). I stitched them by hand. These Stitching Guide and Mat is very easy to use for card-making and scrapbook layouts.

I finished my card with some Sequins Gold Assortment. I love all CTMH Sequins Assortment because they have adhesive already, just ready to use on projects.

I hope you’ll like my project this month 🙂 Your next hop is Nickie’s blog to see what she has created for you this month. Thank you so much for hopping by at my blog!

Go and Do Amazing Things

Today I share my project at Stuck On U Sketches for their new Die Cut Challenge, “Clear Sky.” For this challenge, you can use any die cut shapes on your projects that you can find in the sky.

I am inspired by one of the Neat and Tangled Design Team members when I made this card:

sous-dc-040815-hmg

I cut the Origami Map from Neat and Tangled using my WRMK Evolution Advanced machine. I picked rainbow colors of cardstocks I had in stash. Then stacked them, a little off set from one to another, using Tombow Mono Liquid Glue. I stamped the airplane and heart using CTMH White Daisy Pigment Ink Pad, drew the trace lines using Rolly Gel White Pen and stamped the sentiment using CTMH Black Exclusive Ink Pad. The sentiment, plane and heart are from the matching Origami Map stamp set. I finished my card with some sequins from Neat and Tangled, too.

You still have time to Link up your project here! I hope to see your creative projects for this challenge!

Because God So Loved The World

Tomorrow is Easter Day. Yesterday was the Good Friday, when Jesus was accused with something He did not do, died as a criminal on the cross. He did that only for one reason: LOVE. Love for you and me.

He laid his life and shed his blood for us, to redeem us from the death of our own sins.

God showed His great love for us by sending Jesus to die for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). That says it all.

It is because God so loved the world, he so loved us!

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Today we live in betweet yesterday and tomorrow. Today we live in waiting. We are waiting for God in faith to see the glorious victory over death.

We are given two choices today: do we believe in Jesus as Son of God or do we reject him?

My prayer today for you that God will reveal His great love for you, open your eyes to see the work of His love on the cross and lead you to the salvation he has provided for you through believe in Christ Jesus as his only begotten Son, the Son of God, the Lord of lords.

May you have a blessed holy Saturday!

March Card Chain Challenge Reveal

Today I would love to share with you a card I for a card chain challenge where I participate every month. This Card Chain Challenge hosted by Deborah on her blog where you can find all the detail how to participate and enter to win her blog candy. Participants are challenged to create a card using one of two of the 4 options (sketch, color combo, theme and product used) she provided every month. This one fun way to make new friend. I met lots of new crafty friends from all over some countries.

This is the card I made for March CCC. I sent this card to my new friend Lynne in Canada.

For this card I picked the theme, Easter and product, watercolor paper.  That background I created watercolor blue gradient and dried it using the Craft Heater for speedy drying and to make sure it is really dry before I stamp the sentiment. And then stamped the sentiment from His Love stamp set (B1469) using Thistle Exclusive Ink Pad.

The lily flower is from the same stamp set. I stamped it on a separate White Daisy cardstock with Black Exclusive Ink Pad, color it using Watercolor Pencils and fussy cut it using Micro-tip Scissors. I added the flower using 3D foam tape.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from His Love stamp set also set using Black Exclusive Ink Pad.  Finally, I finished the card with twine and some Sparkle Clear assortment.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and I hope you like the card 🙂 And hope you wanna join us for April Card Chain Challenge. You still have time to sign up here.
