OCC Holiday Style: O Holy Night

I am so excited to be able to learn from talented card makers at Online Card Classes – Holiday Style Class.

OCC- Holiday Style

This is my first card from this week. Julie inspired me with her one layer card. Very simple, yet beautiful.

I stamped the pine trees in 3 shades of green: Flexen, Fern, and New England Ivy. The mixed of the colors give the look of layers of pine trees.

I have some catching up to do with the class. I got into the class a bit later because it is a giveaway prize that I won 🙂

I also link my card at Word Art Wednesday – Challenge #209. Next week will be more Christmas cards to share!

Have a fun weekend!

Be Strong and Be Courage To Fight The Good Fight

There are many ways to encourage our friends and families who need some courage and strenght to go through the battle with cancer. The only one source of strength and courage is from the LORD.

I admire the courage they have to survive! In last October I learned many facts about Cancer and Breast cancer. I met lots of new friends online through craft chat forums and blogs where they shared their own stories or their loved ones’ stories about their process to go through the treatments, but some of them have fough the good fight.

We, as believers in Christ, can find the strength and courage in the LORD through reading His word. We can experience His presence through prayers and the presence of our loved ones in the journey we have to go through. Do not lose hope!

I hope and prayer for you all who are fighting the good fight to survive, that you find your courage and strenght in the LORD who is with you and walking with you to go through the treatments and recover.

I pray the truth in Proverbs 31:25 will always be a reminder for you that truting in Him give you hope about your future.

Blessings to you all!

Supplies you need for this projects are:

Making them is easy and fun:

  • Cut the papers in 4.25″ square.
  • Glue the hoop on the paper using Liquid Glass.
  • When it is dry well (only take a minute to dry), cut along the edge of the hoop.
  • Decorate them with the White Pines Complements, Red Enamel Gems and Sparkle Clear Assortment.
  • For the Glory To God Hoop, trace the hoop with pencil, then stamp and heat emboss the images. Then glue the hoop and cut the edge.
  • Add the Fern Thick Twine (I cut 6″ long for each hoop) and tie up to make a hoop to hang it.

I really enjoy making them and they will be a gift for my daughter’s teacher. We had our first Parent-Teacher meeting with her and so thankful to get to know her more. We heard a lot of of amazing stories from our daugther about her teacher. She adores her!

And I will make more when I have a chance to get more mini embroidery hoops using the leftover supplies I have 🙂

Hopefully you are inspired to create something for Christmas this year. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave your question at the comment box. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Your next hop is Andrea’s blog to see what she has created this month. THANK YOU so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

DIY Fall Wreath Wood Plank

Hello crafty friends! Today I would like to share an amazing challenge for us who love making gifts and cards from our hearts.

image

Jennifer McGuire host this event called Sharing Handmade Kindness. She is awesome card designers and really love her heart for others. You can watch her video about this event here.

This fot the first week of Share Handmade Kindness Challenge and it is all about family and friends. The challenge is to make something for family member or friends, and actually send or give it to them. Isn’t that a great challenge?

Who doesn’t like handmade gift that made out of love and care? I know I do 🙂

For this week challenge, I made this Give Thanks wreath wood plank.

Fall Wreath Wood Plank | http://helengullett.com/?p=7821 | #creatingjoyfully #diy #handmadegift #papercrafting #fallwreath #woodplank #silhouettecameo #silhouetteamerica #sharehandmadekindness #creativesparklinkparty #inspirememonday #wordartwednesday #silhouettechallenges

I found this pre-made wood plank at Hobby Lobby. It is ready to be decorated. I got these Fall Wreath cutting file and the quote “In Everything Give Thanks” at Silhouette Design Store. I cut them using my Silhouette Cameo – the best crafting buddy ever! 🙂 – and put them together. I added some Vintage Photo Distress Ink at all the edges of those leaves and using embossing tool, I scored some lines on those leaves to give them some textures of leaf vines.

For the acorns, I gave them some glitter using glitter glue. And using the handle of my embossing tool, I curled the edges of the acorns a little bit.

Final step is adding the finished wreath on the wood plank. I used the Gorilla wood glue. It is a stronger glue compare to glue gun or all-purpose glue on the wood.

It is a gift for our friends, who also our Pastor and his wife. So thankful God sent them to our church and to teach us the truth. What a blessing!

Crafty friends, you still have time to join this challenge and share kindness to your family and friends this week. To link up you project(s), please go here.

Thank you so much for visiting today and have a marvelous day!

We Are Not Alone

God sent the Judges to rule over His people when the time of darkness, when they did whatever they wanted because they did not have the leader that could lead them to live the life God had planned for them.

They did not have the leader who lived in fear of the LORD. They did whatever they wanted because they did not know who God was, the one who set them free from the salvery. They did not see Him. They worship idols, not God.

We need the godly leader who can lead us to the right path, to God. We need the godly and anointed leader who can lead us in worshiping the one true God.

We need Jesus.

God sent Jesus his only Son, the one He anointed to live on earth, to show us the way to Himself. Through Jesus we can see God,we can know God, we can feel His presence.

But we do not always set our eyes on Him.

But we often take our own way.

But we worship our own “idols” instead of He whom worthy of all worship and praise from us.

That is why we need Jesus every moment in our lives.

That is why we need Jesus to lead us.

That is why we need Jesus to teach us to live godly life.

That is why we need Jesus.

With Jesus we can walk and live in this dark world. His word will be the light to the dark path we walk through every day. His word will be lamp to our feet and will ligth the right path to choose every day.

This life is not easy to live. But with Jesus we have hope and receive grace to continue until the day we see Him face to face.

He is my faith, joy, hope and in His holy name I pray.

HelloMornings - Relentless Study | 2 Timoty 4:16-18 | #HelloMornings #RelentlessStudy #illustratedfaith #writetheword #biblejournaling #journalingbible #creatingjoyfully

The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be counted against them. But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death.* Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.

(2 Timothy 4:16-18, NLT)

The Word of God in 2 Timothy reminds me to keep on rely on the King of kings whom has anointed by the God himself to be with me, to lead me, to teach me, to rebuke me, to change my heart, to direct the course of my life, the core of my faith, the hope in living in obedience to Him and His calling in my life.

Jesus himself reminds us at the End of the Day, this world will hate His followers, many will be sent to justice for what they do for Him, but worry not because though no one won’t be there with us, but He will.

Scary? Yes. But we have hope. We have the King of kings stand with us. We have the One who have defeated death will stand with us.

When I feel hopeless and weak, He is there to give me hope and strengthen me because He stand with me, holding me in His arms.

I am not alone for the KING of kings, my LORD and SAVIOR is with me. Even others leave me, He is still with me.

My prayer for your today that you will make Jesus the King in your life and follow him in obedience to His word.

Today is the last day of the Relentless Study with HelloMornings. We studied the book of Judges together for 6 weeks. I joined one of the Facebook groups where I found my accountability friends. We encourage each other by sharing our thoughts on the reading of God’s word and pray to lift each other up to the Father. You can find more details on HelloMornings and their available groups, if you feel God leads you to join and find accountability that you need to walk in your faith.

God has plans for each of us and He does not want us to walk alone in this faith journey.

Blessings to you on this weekend!
