<p>If you arrive from <strong><a href="http://heartandsoulscrappers.blogspot.com/2016/04/resisting-can-be-fun.html">Tonya</a></strong>, that you are on the right track <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> But if you are here first, you can continue blog-hopping to the next blog until you make the loop. You won&#8217;t miss this hop for sure! There are 12 more CTMH consultants participate in this blog hop sharing their awesome projects to inspire you.</p>
<p>I use the Watercolore Resist Technique to create my projects today. It is just so fun watching the images start revealing when we add the colors on the embossed images. It is magical <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>
<p><a title="Be Your Beautiful Self" href="http://wp.me/p1DmW0-2iT"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" class="aligncenter" src="https://i0.wp.com/farm2.staticflickr.com/1608/26441902585_a006a6465b_z.jpg?resize=640%2C640&#038;ssl=1" alt="Be Your Beautiful Self" width="640" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>First is project is art frame. I cut <a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl02_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8651"><span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl02_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name">Watercolor Paper</span></a> in 5.5&#8243; x 7.5&#8243; big to fit in 7&#215;5 frame. You can use any size of frames, just cut the paper as big as your frame. I stamped the butterflies and sentiment from <a href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9112&amp;ci=3806">Your Beautiful Self stamp set</a> (I used all of the images :D) using <span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl24_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name"><a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl24_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=972">VersaMark<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Ink Pad</a> and <span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl03_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name"><a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl03_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8056">Ranger<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> White Super Fine Embossing Powder</a> and heat them using <span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl23_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name"><a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl23_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=510">Craft Heater</a>. Then I tape the paper down using blue painter tape and started adding the <span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl01_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name"><a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl01_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8637">Watercolor Paints</a> using wet <a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl03_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8692">Paintbrush Set</a>. For the butterflies I added the purple and pink using the medium round size brush, and then the background I used lightest blue using the medium flat size brush. And then I fast-dried the paper using <a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl23_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=510">Craft Heater</a> and with a wet big flat brush I washed the paper from left to right with motion. It gives the blending look of all the colors, you can see there is some shades of purple too. One more time I dried it and ready to be put in the frame.</span></span></span></span></p>
<p><a title="Mom, so glad you're mine" href="http://wp.me/p1DmW0-2iT"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" class="aligncenter" src="https://i0.wp.com/farm2.staticflickr.com/1651/25837010044_59f75ee14c_z.jpg?resize=640%2C640&#038;ssl=1" alt="Mom, so glad you're mine" width="640" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>I also made these cards using the same technique. For the card above I used the <span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl02_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name"><a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl02_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9105">My Mother (US/CA)</a> stamp set. On a piece of <a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl02_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8651">Watercolor Paper</a>, I stamped the flowers and leaves with <a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl24_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=972">VersaMark<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Ink Pad</a> and added some <span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl00_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name"><a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl00_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8054">Ranger<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Princess Gold Embossing Powder</a>, then heat set it using <a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl23_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=510">Craft Heater</a>. I added the light pink on the top and did the gradient wash on it. For the sentiment, I stamped it using <a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl00_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8080">Thistle Exclusive Inks<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Stamp Pad</a> and <a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl01_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8084"><span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl01_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name">Pixie Exclusive Inks<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Stamp Pad</span></a>. </span></span>The border paper is from <span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl01_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name"><a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl01_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9077">Penelope Paper Packet</a>. And I added some <span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl15_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name"><a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl15_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8003">Sequins Gold Assortment</a> and <span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl00_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name"><a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl00_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9069">Treasured Puffies</a>. I added the papers using adhesive and 3D foam tape.</span></span></span></p>
<p>And for these cards below, as you can see the same technique also <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f600.png" alt="😀" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>
<p>On these cards, I used <span id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl00_uxLblProductName" class="prod_name"><a id="ctl00_ctl00_ctl01_ctl00_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_cphContent_uxRptProducts_ctl00_uxLnkProductDetails" href="http://helengullett.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=8341">Someone Special</a> stamp set. <p>I cannot stop myself this techniques is so much fun <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f600.png" alt="😀" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> I also made some cards using the watercolor resist technique.</p>
<p>Resisting Technique is a technique that you first emboss the images with embossing powder, then add some colors using dye-inks, markers, even watercolor paints on it to reveal the embossed images.</p>
<p>Here are some YouTube Videos if you&#8217;d like to see how to create using the resisting technique:</p>
