12 Days DIY Christmas 2014: Day 4

Today I wanna share a little gift mason jar that can be filled with any homemade jelly, or homemade jam, or hot cocoa mix, or candies.

You can find this little mason jar at any local Walmart or craft stores. This size of mason jar is perfect for single serving of hot cocoa mix. That’s what I did 🙂

This time, instead of adding a tag, I decorate the lid. The middle lid comes off apart. I added a paper doily on the middle circle part and then screw it tight with the ring.

And then I added a scallop printed old book paper that I punch using EK Scallop Medium size and added it in the middle of the lid using Liquid Glass.

To make the tag on top of the lid, I use Made From Scratch stamp set. Next on a strip of watercolor paper, stamp the plaid background pattern with Barn Red Exclusive Ink Stamp Pad, before stamp it spray a little bit of water to create the watercolor effect on the paper. Next, stamp the sentiment on a piece of White Daisy cardstock using Olive Exclusive Ink Stamp Pad, and then stamp again on another piece of cardstock in Barn Red, cut the heart and glue it on top of the green one. Add a little bit of glitter glue and then add some Liquid Glass to give the glossy and puffy accent on the heart. And then cut the label shape.

Using Liquid Glass, glue the plaid banner on top of the scallop paper, then with 3D foam tape add the label on top of the plaid banner.

I tie a little bow using Cranberry Baker’s Twine and I tuck it under the label using Liquid Glass.

And it is ready to give to someone you have on your “giving gifts” list 🙂
