Sending Paper Hugs

We all know that it has been hard times for all of us and we cannot give physical hug to each other yet. But, we can send each other paper hugs through handmade cards.

I am grateful that I could get back to do projects slowly in my craft room after my surgeries. I got to spend time this week to color and make this card.

I used new Olive Branch Digital Stamp Bundle and the new Olive Branch Digital Paper Pack. They are beautiful match sets for any occasions cards, especially encouraging cards.

I printed the image and sentiment on 80 lbs white smooth Neenah white cardstock with inkjet printer the day before I colored it. The image was dried overnight. If you print the image and want to color it right away, make sure to dry the ink with craft heat gun first to avoid smearing while coloring.

I colored the image with Arteza Everblend Art Markers. I added some white paint splatters on it and then I dried the colored image with craft heat gun and then fussy cut it with micro-tip scissors.

I cut the sentiment with one of the label die from Dare 2B Artzy Slim Mini Wavy Layers Die Set.

I printed one of these beautiful digital patterned papers on a white cardstock with inkjet. I trimmed it into 4 inch x 5.5 inch. I added the patterned paper on the top fold card white card with permanent EZ Grand runner adhesive.

After that, I added the colored image and sentiment banner on the card with 3D foam adhesive.

You also find Gracie’s designs at Unity Stamp Company in form of rubber stamps and papers pad.

Let’s encourage and give each other hugs with our handmade cards. I hope you can feel my hugs today… Thank you for stopping by my blog today…

STAMPlorations 8th Birthday Celebration

Hello everyone!!! Today, I am joining the STAMPlorations 8th Birthday Celebration with these two cards. And…you are invited to join the celebration, too.

There are 3 fun ways to celebrate this special day with us!!! The fun starts at STAMPlorations Blog where you will see more inspiration and more detail about how you can join this 8th Birthday Celebration.

There are Three (3) New Birthday Bundles released. On my two cards today, I used the Birthday Bundle #2 consists:

  1. Blossom Sprays #5 4×6 stamp set
  2. See the Good 3×5 stamp set
  3. Design Blox Template #6 – 6×10, 10mil
  4. Art Border #2 CUTplorations thin metal die

My first card, I did stamping with multiple colors dye ink pads (rainbow colors) and I sprayed it lightly with water and stamped it on a watercolor paper to get the watercolor look on the image without using watercolor paint.

After stamping, I dried stamped image with craft heater and then fussy cut it with micro-tip scissors and I added on the card with 3D foam tape.

I cut out a back-adhesive black cardstock using the border die to create the border on the background.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a black cardstock, and I also fussy cut it with scissors. I added on the card with 3D foam tape and permanent adhesive.

I embellished the card with some of the Sunshine Yellow – ShakerBlends.

On my second card, I used the stamping with stencil technique to create that background. I trimmed it to fit the on too of the front A2 card. I added it on the card with permanent adhesive glue.

I stamped the flower on a watercolor paper with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad and I dried the ink. After that, I colored it with Arteza Woodless Watercolor Pencils and waterbrush.

After that, I dried it with craft heater and cut it with one of the Manila Tags Nesting Dies. I added it on the card with permanent adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock with Nocturne ink pad and then I trimmed it. For the mat, I cut a black cardstock about 1/4” bigger than the sentiment label. I used my edge distresser tool to distress the edges. If you do not have this tool, you can use scissors to distress the edges.

I added the sentiment label on top of the black mat with permanent adhesive glue, and then I added the whole sentiment on the card with 3D foam tape.

That’s all my cards for this STAMPlorations celebration. I hope these inspire you to create today. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

D2BA | Pop Up Card and Gift For The Best Dad

Hello everyone! Father’s Day is on June 20th this year. Today, I wanna share an idea for the Father’s Day card and gift card holder.

I created this slide pop up card using the Pop Up Feature Die. It is one of my favorites from the newly released products at D2BA store. Visit D2BA Blog for more inspiration and detail for Masculine theme projects and you can play along with this month challenge, too.

For the patterned papers, I used couple of the papers from the All The Buzz Collection Variety Pack. This variety papers pack is super adorable! They are not only can be used for Spring, but also Summer and masculine style projects.

I also used the new Rectangle Framelit Dies to create the tag that I added on the back of the pop up panel as the pull-up tag. I added the gift card on the tag using removable glue dot.

I cut a piece of heavyweight white cardstock using the label die from the new Slim Mini Wavy Layers Die and then I stamped the sentiments from the new Special Family Stamp Set with black ink pad using my Mini MISTI. I added the sentiment label on the front pop up panel with 3D foam tape.

I cut out couple of the bees from one of the pattern paper with scissors and then I added it on the card with couple 3D foam tape.

I love how it turned out. This card will fit in a regular A2 card envelope and not bulky to send out using regular postage.

That’s my card for today and I hope this give you an idea to make a special handmade card and gift for The Father’s Day.  Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.

D2BA | Masculine Birthday Slimline Card

Hello hello hello everyone! The month of June is mostly associated with Summer, Father’s Day, Ice Cream, or anything that sounds fun in the sun. Today, I wanna share with you all this masculine birthday slimline card idea.

This June D2BA Challenge theme: Masculine and I thought of making this slimline card with the masculine theme. For me, masculine card is always a challenge to make but I had fun making this one.

This masculine birthday slimline card is pretty simple to make. I used the fun patterned papers from Ice Cream Social Collection Variety Pack for the background and raccoons, along with the Raccoon Party Stamp Set, Raccoon Party Die Set, and Retro Slimline Background Die.

I cut put a grey cardstock with the first layer of the Retro Slimline Background Die and I added it on the card base with the permanent adhesive runner. After that, I cut out a a white cardstock using the second layer of the background die and then I added some 3D foam tape on it and I added it on a piece of that sprinkle pattern paper and trimmed around it with scissors (or you can pre-cut the patterned paper with the dimension of that die). I added the whole panel on the card with permanent adhesive runner.

Next, I cut those 3 raccoons from the patterned paper using the Raccoon Party Die Set. This die set is not only matching die to the stamp set, but also to the pattern papers which is awesome that we can use both ways. After cutting those raccoons, I added them on the card with permanent adhesive runner.

I stamped the sentiment from the Raccoon Party Stamp Set on a white cardstock with black ink pad and I used the label die from Wavy Slimeline Framelit Dies. I did partial die cut for each side to get the dove tail for short label. I added it on the card with permanent adhesive runner.

I hope this birthday slimline card give you an idea to join our D2BA June Challenge. Head over to D2BA Blog to see more inspiration for masculine cards from the design team.
