CUTplorations Christmas Release Blog Hop

STAMPlorations

Hello everyone… It is less than 60 days until Christmas!!! I have started making some Christmas projects, including cards and gifts… To help you get on your Christmas projects, today STAMPlorations has a new release CUTplorations Christmas. Join us for the blog hop and giveaway!

This blog hop starts at STAMPlorations blog and there you will find LOTS of beautiful Christmas themed inspirations featuring the new Christmas Dies that released today.

GIVEAWAY and BLOG HOP details:

Visit STAMPlorations blog and all participants’ blogs and leave comments for a chance to win one of two prizes:

  • choice of one (1) cover plate die & one (1) word/phrase die from the new Christmas dies featured during the hop
  • OR a $15 GC to the store.

Commenting closes November 9. Winner to be announced on November 10 in the October Winners post at STAMPlorations blog.

On my cards today I used the new O Holy Night Phrase Die and Doodled Christmas Bells Cover Plate Die. They are gorgeous script font and cover plate for your Christmas projects for sure.

I choose to create a “Holy Night” scene #10 Size card. It is in 3 7/8″ x 9 1/4″ size card that fits in #10 envelope (letter size envelope) that you can easily find at any store. Also, this is not a bulky card, but has some layers so it is mail friendly.

On a piece of watercolor paper, I painted the night sky background using Sakura Koi Watercolor paints, Finetec Watercolor Gold Metallic Palette Paints, and white acrylic paints. I dried it with craft heater and trimmed it 1/4″ smaller that the card base. I added it on the card with adhesive glue.

I cut the O Holy Night Phrase Die with DCWV Metallic Gold cardstock and I added it on the card with adhesive glue.

Next, I cut out the Christmas Icon – Nativity Die with white cardstock, black cardstock, and metallic gold cardstok. I stacked the white cut out underneath the black cut out and overlapping them little bit so create the shadow look. And then, I cut out only the star from the gold cut out and add it on top of the black star. I added it on the card with adhesive glue.

On the second card, I go with simple style. I cut out a piece of American Craft Silver Cardstock using the Doodled Christmas Bells Cover Plate Die. I added it on the card with adhesive glue. But… I learned couple tricks with intricate die:

  • First, you can add the a double-side tape on the back of the cardstock first, and then cut it. So you will have the adhesive already on the back of the card. I use Silhouette America Sticker Adhesive and Ken Oliver Stick It.
  • Second, you can use spray adhesive on the die cuts. With this spray adhesive, you might end up with some extra glue residue on the side of die cuts, but they can be easily remove with glue eraser.
  • Third, you can use the Xyron Sticker Maker Max. This is easy to use.

For the sentiment, I used one of the sentiments from the Yuletide Deer Stamp Set. I stamped it on a white cardstock with VersaFine Tulip Red ink pad and then I trimmed it into sentiment banner. I added it on the card with 3D foam tape.

Before you go… there is a special Christmas Dies sale event from October 29 to November 12. All Christmas Dies are 10% off – no coupon needed. The discount is automatically applied in the shopping cart… AND… You can get an extra 20% off when you use my discount code: STAMPGIRLHELEN when you check out!!!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Precious Remembrance New Release Blog Hop

Hello everyone… Welcome to the Precious Remembrance New Release blog hop!

Today, this new Everyday Stamp Set is available for you to grab at Precious Remembrance Shop.

This stamp set is perfect for making all occasion cards and projects. The images are great for creating backgrounds.

Here’s my card that I created with the new Everyday Stamp Set and I combine it with the Oh So Fun Stamp Set.

To create that ombre background, first prepare a piece of heavyweight white cardstock with anti-static tool, and them stamp the heart image with VersaMark Ink Pad, and then add some Clear Embossing Powder. Heat set it with craft heater.

Add the VersaFine Clair Charming Pink Ink and the VersaFine Clair Glamorous Ink on the cardstock using blending tool.

The embossed hearts will resist the ink. After adding the ink, clean off some of the ink from the embossed image for more pop.

Cut the background panel with frame dies. On my card, I used the Fancy Scallop Frames Die Set.

Add the frame cut out on the card and 3D foam tape and add the middle cut out panel with adhesive glue.

Next, stamp the mason jar image on a piece of vellum paper using StazOn Jet Black Ink. Dry it with craft heater. Be careful while drying a vellum paper, you do not want to over heat it.

After the image is dry, fussy cut the jar with micro-tip scissors.

Wrap some natural burlap twine around the top of the jar and then add it on the card with dries-clear Adhesive Glue. I used the Art Glitter Dries Clear Adhesive Glue on this project.

Last step is stamping the sentiment and frame with VersaFine Clair Glamorous Ink and then fussy cut it with scissors. Add the sentiment on top of the jar with 3D foam tape.

Surprise Baby Shower For Grandma Christy

Joy Clair Stamps

It ‘s a celebration! We are celebrating the arrival of Christy new grand-baby girl with this baby shower blog hop.

Thanks to Kerry for this sweet idea!!! The hop starts at Joy Clair blog where you also can see the full list of participants and their gifts. And when it comes to baby girl, I think tutu skirt is a must! Here’s the baby card I made for her:

I use the New Baby Clear Stamp Set on this card. I stamped the onesies image on 2 different patterned paper and a white cardstock with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad.

After that I fussy cut them one by one, I stamped the images at the center of each onesies with VersaFine Clair ink pads and then colored them with ShinHan Alcohol Markers.

I added the tulle fabric on each onesies with double sided tape to make the tutu skirt. I added some twine around the waist area as belt and I secured them with dries-clear adhesive glue. I added some pink flowers on the one white one.

I added the pink stripe papers on the white card, and then I added the 3 onesies on the card with adhesive glue and the one in the center I used 3D Foam tape for extra dimension.

I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the onesies and the card is done. I do hope Christy will like it together with the gifts I sent for her grand-baby girl.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Thursday Coffee Break | Stay Cozy

Coffee Loving Cardmakers, Graciellie Design

Hello hello hello… Fall has arrived with cooler weather and colorful leaves. We are enjoying every moment we can.

For me, the idea of staying cozy is bundle up, cozy socks, warm coffee (or tea), and fire place. But… I also love to just sit, calm my mind by reading or coloring.

It is Thursday and it is time for our Thursday Coffee Break project over Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog. I am sharing this card there.

Today’s card is inspired by those ideas in this Fall weather. I use Stay Cozy digital stamp from our Super Sponsor, Graciellie Design. She also released the similar stamp set at Unity Stamp Company, called Cozy Layers Mode.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day.
