Fall In Love With Joy Clair

Hello hello hello everyone… I hope you all enjoy the Fall weather now. We have couple cooler days this week. We also start seeing some falling leaves on the ground.

Today, at Joy Clair we have a Fall in Love event where you all will see Fall themed projects from the team. And I am using the new Falling Leaves Background Stamp, Thankful and Blessed Stamp Set, and Turkey Talk Stamp Set on my CAS Fall themed card for this event.

I stamped the Falling Leaves Background Stamp with Rinea Ghost Ink Pad on the Gold Foiled Paper, after couple seconds, I wiped it off with baby wipe. And that is one way of ghosting techniques for creating background.

And then I cut it with ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies. I added it on an orange card with dries-clear adhesive glue.

I cut a piece of watercolor paper into hill shape and after that I scribble couple shade of green watercolor pencils from Leisure Arts Watercolor Pencils Set. I then used the watercolor brush to blend the colors. I dried the watercolor paper and then I added it on the card with the dries-clear adhesive glue.

I stamped the pumpkin cluster from the Thankful and Blessed Stamp Set on a watercolor paper with VersaFine Onyx Black and then I colored it with Leisure Arts Watercolor Pencils and watercolor brush.

I stamped the turkey and sentiment from the Turkey Talk Stamp Set on a watercolor paper with VersaFine Onyx Black and then I colored it with Leisure Arts Watercolor Pencils and watercolor brush.

I dried all the watercolored images with craft heater and then I fussy cut them with micro-tip scissors. And then I added them on the card with 3D foam tape.

I hope you all enjoy this card today. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Hope you all have wonderful day!

Start Each Day With Grateful Heart

Every day we face with making decisions. Whether it is a small or big decision, we have to make at least one every say. And today… let’s we start it with grateful heart…

I love this Fall Wishes digital stamp set from Graciellie Design. To make this CAS card is very simple.

First, I printed the image on mixed media paper with ink jet, then colored it with Arteza Real Brush Pens.

I fussy cut it with micro-tip scissors and then I added on the card with dries-clear glue.

I found a patterned paper from my scrap stash that I cut into large banner for the background.

I embellished this card with some gold sequins from my stash.

Check out more digital stamps at Graciellie Design Etsy Store. She has lots of beautiful designs!

Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

ARTplorations Blog Hop | Mixed Media Cards

Hello everyone! Today I have two mixed media cards that I created using new stencils, word die sets, and mixed media mediums.

I am joining the STAMplorations Girls for the ARTplorations Blog Hop showcasing the new stencils by Sanna Lippert Designs.

On my first card, I use the new Lupinus ARTplorations Stencil and Birthday Wishes Phrase Die.

On a piece of watercolor paper, I added the texture paste using the Lupinus Stencil. After it dried, I added the 2 shades of purple Gelatos and using my finger to blend the colors. I added the green Gelato on the stalk and leaves and blended the color the same way I did on the flowers.

I scribble some of the blue Gelato around the flowers and blended it in with my finger to create the blue sky background. Once in a while I wet my finger with baby wipe.

I cut out the Birthday Wishes twice using purple and white cardstock. I stacked them together and added on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue. This glue dries clear and permanent.

I added some of the purple Stickles on the card and let them dried.

On this second card, I used the Fairy Tales ARTplorations Stencil, Big Hugs Phrase Die, Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.

I created a watercolored background using watercolor paints. I used wet-on-wet technique. I dried the paint with craft heater and then cut it with the large size of the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.

I added the texture paste with the stencil and let it dried completely. After that, I run it through my laminating machine with the DecoFoil Teal foil sheet. It was fun to see the foil revealed when I removed the sheet.

I added some white acrylic paint with fan brush and then I added the background panel on a white card with adhesive glue.

I cut out the word die with black cardstock and added them on a white cardstock. I trimmed it into banner and I added it on the card with 3D foam tape. I embellished this card with some of the teal sequins I have in my stash.

Mixed Media Challenge | You’re So Very Special

STAMPlorations Mixed Media Challenge

Hello everyone… I am here today with a new mixed media challenge. Also, it is a new challenge for me! It is an anything goes challenge, including cards!

Starting this month, I am a new member for the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Design Team. So excited to be part of this team and create with these creative ladies.

On my almost-one-layer mixed media card today, I use Retro Circles Stencil – ARTplorations Stencil, Mixed Media Elements Stamp Set, and Fond Expressions 2 Stamp Set.

I added some of the texture paste with the stencil on a piece of watercolor paper. I added it only the center of the paper. After the texture paste dried, I sprayed it with the Marabu Art Sprays. I sprayed one color at the time. After I sprayed it, I held the paper in angle position and let the paint drip down on both side.

Once the sprays dried, I stamped the script stamp randomly on it with Archival Black Ink Pad. And then I stamped the sentiment with the same ink pad at the bottom corner.

I trimmed the paper and added it on a white card with adhesive glue.

I hope this inspire you to create a mixed media project and join our challenge this month. If you used at least one STAMPlorations products (digital or clear stamp, stencil, die, or a page from any of our coloring books), make sure to link it up to our Never-ending Anything Goes Challenge too for a chance to win more STAMPlorations products!

World Card Making Day 2018 | Smooshing Challenge

Hello everyone… HAPPY WORLD CARD MAKING DAY to all of you, my sweet card-making friends!!! I hope you all get to celebrate this fun day in fun and special ways!

Joy Clair is hosting 5 (FIVE) fun challenges all day for all of you to play along! You can create projects, share and link them up, and enter lots of giveaways!!! And for the fourth challenge is Smooshing Challenge . This is one of my favorite cardmaking technique, especially when I create backgrounds. And here’s my card that I created using Hello Autumn Clear Stamps:

I used Distress Oxide Ink Pads to create the background. The colors I used are Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, and Vintage Photo. The paper I used is 140 lbs watercolor paper.

Smooshing technique is really easy and fun. You simply add the ink on the craft mat and spray with water. After that, dip your paper in the color. I always dry the color on the paper for each time adding the color. Once I like the blending on the paper, I spray some water on it, let it sit for couple seconds, then I dab it off with paper towel. This step gives the background extra texture look to it. I stamped the sentiment on the finished background panel with VersaFine Clair Pinecone using Mini MISTI.

I trimmed the background panel little bit smaller. Then I wrapped the natural burlap twine around the card, and I added it to the white card with adhesive glue.

Then I stamped the leaves with Hero Art Autumn Ombre Ink on a white cardstock using Mini MISTI. I fussy cut them after that. I stamped the acorn with VersaFine Clair Pinecone Ink Pad and fussy cut it, too. I added them on the knot where I tied up the burlap twine, I glued them with adhesive glue, and then I tied up the bow on top of them.

We want everyone to be able to play  and have FUN… Here’s how you can create along:

  • No requirement to use Joy Clair Stamps although we would be thrilled if you did.
  • Please make a new card!
  • Add your link to the appropriate Inlinkz Link-up tool for Smooshing Challenge.
  • You may enter as many times as you wish while the challenges are open. There will a prize posted on each challenge and one card will be randomly chosen as a winner of that prize from those that Link-up.
  • Have tons of fun!

And more…

Joy Clair really want to reward those who enter multiple challenges. The crafters who enter a different card for at least FOUR (4) of the challenges (hopefully all of them!) and add JCGP next to their name on the name of their link, for example “Lisa Lane JCGP”, will be entered into a special pool to receive the Grand Prize. Entering to the WCMD-18 My Space Challenge will qualify as 1 of those 4 challenges.
