“It’s A Girl Thing” Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop

Hello everyone… Today, I am joining the Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop. It is an honored to join Lori and friends for this cause.

What is Turner Syndrome?

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born missing her second X Chromosome, leaving her with life long medical issues. It affects 1 in every 2,000 to 2,500 girls but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to term (miscarriages and stillbirths). TS is named after Dr. Henry Turner, who discovered the condition in 1938.

Here are the amazing sponsor for this year blog hop. They are very generous people. Make sure to visit them and leave some love. Go here to find the direct links to each sponsor and go here for the full list of blog hop participants.

On my CAS card today, I use products from two of the sponsors: Joy Clair, STAMPlorations, and Imagine Crafts.

First, I printed one of the Graciellie Design Rustic Wood Digital Paper on a white cardstock and trimmed it smaller than A2 card. I added it on the card with Scrapbook Adhesive E-Z Grand Runner.

The sentiments are from Joy Clair Stamps: Thank You For Everything and Hugs and Smiles. I stamped them on the card with Imagine Crafts – VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad using Mini MISTI.

The pocket full of flowers is from the STAMPlorations – Pocket Blooms Stamp and Die Set. I stamp the flower with Imagine Crafts – VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad on a watercolor paper, then I colored them with Spectrum Noir Sparkles Brush Pens. I dried the flower with craft heater and then fussy cut it with scissors. I added the flower on the card with Scrapbook Adhesive E-Z Grand Runner.

For the pocket, I had monoprinted paper in my stash that I created in the past. I cut it with the pocket die. I added the pocket on the card, under the flower with 3D foam tape for an extra dimension.

The butterflies are from Joy Clair – Butterfly Kisses stamp set. I stamped them on a watercolor paper with Imagine Crafts – VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad and then I colored them with Spectrum Noir Sparklers Brush Pens. I dried the butterflies with craft heater and then I fussy cut them with scissors. I added them on the card with permanent adhesive glue and I also added 3D foam tape under couple wings for dimension effect.
