Hello everyone… I am back again with second blog post today with a new monthly challenge with Joy Clair! Every month, it is anything goes and picture inspiration challenge.
Check out this month’s photo inspiration! You need to create a new project, any shape of cards base on the inspiration picture. You also can create your project base on the color combo. Just let your creativity flow 🙂 You also can use any kind stamp sets you have in stash, but if you have Joy Clair stamps, we would love to see how you use them on your project, too 🙂
Joy Clair April Challenge is open until April 29th, and the winner will be announced on April 30th. You can link up as many as you like with direct link to your project on your specific blog post or online gallery, not the your whole blog or gallery. Visit Joy Clair blog to see more inspirations from the design team!
Here are my cards for the April Challenge. I was inspired by the oval shaped of the eggs when I created these 2 oval shaped cards for Mother’s Day.
First I die cut the card base with oval dies to create, then I cut out 2 more ovals out of watercolor paper for the front panels.
Then using my Mini MISTI, I stamped the flowers from Hugs and Smiles Clear Stamps with Versafine Onyx Black ink pad and watercolor them with Spectrum Noir Aqua markers and watercolor brush.
When the watercolored images dried, I stamped the sentiment from Mother’s Day Clear Stamps with Versafine Onyx Black ink pad with Mini MISTI, too. And then I added some of the white pearls and vintage pink pearl gems on each of the card.
I thought these cards need extra sparkle on them 🙂 So… I sprayed them with the mixture Perfect Pearl powder and water that I always have it handy in my mini mister spray bottle.
Look at all the shimmer and sparkle all over the cards 🙂
I hope these cards will inspire you to create a project and join us at theJoy Clair April Challenge!
THANKS for stopping by today and I hope you all have a fabulous day!
Very pretty Mother’s Day cards!
Thank you so much, Lori 🙂
I could see from the start that God gave you a heaping helping of creativity when you chose an oval Happy Mother’s Day idea for your “card” rather than the usual rectangular one. Very nice, Helen! Thank you for a new idea.
Thank you so much, Morrisa for your kind comment.
Gorgeous! Beautiful bunch of roses, Helen! Just perfect for Mother’s day cards! 🙂
Thank you so much Ashwini… I hope you can play along with this month challenge, too!
