Joy Clair September Challenge: Mixed Media One Layer Card

Hello everyone…September has arrived! And that means new challenge for you this month at Joy Clair Stamp Blog.

This month challenge theme is Anything Goes One Layer Card or Textured Card. Also, you can create any projects using the picture and color inspirations:

We have simple rules for you to play along:

  • You can use any brand of stamps,
  • MUST directly link to the Joy Clair blog in your post. (Or entry will not count)
  • Projects must be NEW, no back linking, please.
  • Number of entries is unlimited.
  • Add a direct link to your project using the InLinkz here.

Here’s my card. I created a one layer mixed media card using the new October Fun Stamp Set with Distress Crayons, Aspen Trees Stencil, and Texture Paste.

I created the background by scribble the Distress Crayons on the watercolor paper panel, and using damp baby wipe to blend them together. Then I sprinkle some water, wipe them off with paper towel to create some texture on the background.

Then I stamped the cute witch and her treat back, plus sentiment on the panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I created a mask for them. After putting the mask on, I added the texture paste on the card. Set aside to dry. Then I remove the masks off. I decided to color the witch’s dress and bag with ShinHan Touch Twin Marker and give some sparkle on them with Spectrum Sparkle Brush Pen.

Here’s a close up:

That’s my one layer mixed media card for this challenge and now it’s your turn…I hope this card can inspire you to create and link up with us! I cannot wait to see your projects!

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a fabulous day!
