Hello everyone… Today, I have a new mixed media card to share with you all.
I created this card for the STAMPlorations January Mixed Media Challenge. This challenge is anything mixed media goes, including cards, as long as you use one or more stencils on it.
I use the Zen Hearts ARTplorations stencil, Shutters ARTplorations stencil to create the background. First, I created a watercolored background with Catherine Pooler Design’s Ink Pad (Baby Girl) and water using smooshing technique. And then I used stamping with stencil technique to add the shutters ghosting print on it.
Next, I mixed Ranger Texture Paste with fine glitter to create the glittery paste and I added it on the panel with Zen Heart stencil. I let it sit to dry. It is okay to use craft heater to dry the paste, but have to be very careful to not over heat it.
After the texture paste dried well, I used the distresser tool to distress the edges of the background panel and I added it on the white card with permanent adhesive glue.
And for the sentiment, I use the You & Me CUTplorations Phrase Die and Pocket Blooms Stamp Set. I stamped the words on a white cardstock with Catherine Pooler’s Design Ink Pad (Rockin’ Red) and trimmed them into small sentiment strips. I added them on the card with permanent adhesive glue and 3D foam tape. Then then I cut out a red cardstock with the phrase die but I only used the word “you” on this card.
