Hello everyone… Happy Thursday! I hope you all have been fun time enjoying Summer with your loved ones. I love Summer, but I cannot wait to enjoy Fall, soon!

And…The Fall Color combos is my inspiration to create these Thank You CAS card set for today Project Thursday. I created these cards using the Thanks Stamp Set and Fall Colors Stamp Set. I am sharing a tutorial how to create these cards on Precious Remembrance Shop Blog today using the heat-embossing/watercolor resist project.

I used ADORNit Watercolor Cakes and Waterbrush to create the paint the washes on the background and then I used the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies – CUTplorations to cut out the panels. For stamping, I used VersaMark Ink Pad and VersaFine Clair ink pad. The embossing powder I used on these cards is a mix of Ranger Super Fine White Embossing Powder and Holographic Glitter Embossing Powder.

I hope you all are inspired to create. Thank you so much for stopping by today and see you all next time!

Happy National Coloring Book Day ~ Blossom Bliss Blog Hop

Hello everyone… Welcome to the Blossom Bliss Blog Hop! Happy National Coloring Book Day!!! Today, I am joining STAMPlorations Design Team to celebrate this fun coloring book day and I have 3 coloring project to share with you all!

My first project is an encouragement card. I using one of the Blossom Bliss Coloring Book pages that I colored it with Prismacolors Pencils. The sentiment is from the Faith Expressions Stamp Set. I used the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies to cut out the watercolored background panel and the coloring page.

My second project is another card with the Blossom Bliss Coloring Book Page that I colored it using Pearlesscent Watercolor Paint. It looks so pearly and glittery in real live…

The butterflies are from the Trendy Butterflies 2 Stamp Set. I stamped them on white cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black and then colored them with the Pearlescents Watercolor Paint. Then I fussy cut them with scissors. I curled the wings little bit with stylus for extra dimension to them and then I added them on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue.

And for the sentiment is from the Fond Expressions Stamp Set that I stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black on a white cardstock and trimmed it into sentiment strip.

And my third project is an art journal. I applied thin coat layer of clear gesso on the Blossom Bliss Coloring Book Page and then colored with Distress Crayons and waterbrush.

I cut out the black frame with Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies and then I added the colored page on the back of it.

I stamped the sentiments from Faith Expressions Stamp Set and Fond Expressions 2 Stamp Set on white cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black and trimmed them. I drew the lines around the word to make a thin frame.

On the background of my art journal, I added the acrylic paints with brayer, and then I applied some white gesso with palette knife. Next, I added black acrylic paint using Crisscrossed ARTploration Stencil and make up foam on both corners.

I sprayed some of the Marabu Spray Paints on the page for extra splash of colors. I dried the whole page with craft heater.

And then, without using stamping block, I stamped randomly the script from the Mixed Media Element Stamp Set with Ranger Archival Black Ink Pad on both corner.

Final step, I added the framed colored page in the middle of the page with dries-clear adhesive glue. And then I added the words around the page with dries-clear adhesive glue.

Project Thursday ~ Mixed Media Artist Trading Cards

Precious Remembrance Shop

Hello everyone one… Helen is here. It’s Project Thursday time… And today’s project is a set of mixed media Artis Trading Cards that I created using stamp set, bits and pieces, paper snippets, buttons, and VersaFine Clair Ink Pads.

I am sharing a tutorial on these project on Precious Remembrance Shop Blog, too. On these artist trading cards, I used the Little Thing Stamp Set and the Coffee Love Stamp Set.

I stamped the triangles from the Little Things Stamp Set on tissue paper using VersaFine Clair Nocturne (Black) Ink Pad. This is a pigment ink, so it will take time to dry. I set it aside to dry while I was working on the cards.

I used watercolor paper 140 lbs for the artist trading cards. To create the background, I use the ink smooshing technique with VersaFine Clair ink pads and Staz-On All-Purpose Stamp Cleaner Spray. Since these ink pads are oil-based inks, water won’t work with them. But the stamp cleaner works like magic!

The Ink Pads I used on these card backgrounds are:

First, I dab a little bit of the ink on a craft mat, then I spray it with the Staz-On All-Purpose Stamp Cleaner Spray. I smooshed the watercolor paper in the ink. I did one color a the time and then dried them with craft heater tool.

I added thin layer of my homemade texture paste using palette knife on each card. This way give some texture on them and muted the colors a little bit.

After the texture paste dried, I added the pieces of stamped tissue papers on them using gel medium.

Once these cards dried, I added each of them on purple cardstock mat, green cardstock mat, and orange cardstock mat. After that I hand-stitched couple of the edges with white embroidery thread. And I added them again the last 3.5″ x 2.5″ card mats with strong adhesive glue. Lots of layers… I know!!!

Next step, I stamped the cup from Coffee Love Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair – ParadiseVersaFine Clair – Green Oasis, and VersaFine Clair – Summertime. I fussy each of the cup with micro-tip scissors.

On this first artist trading card, I added the blue cup. I added the XOXO word from Bits & Pieces : Love Coupon. I secured it on the cup with mini stapler. I added the cup on the card with strong adhesive glue. I added the sentiment from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black) on a white cardstock, trimmed it into paper strip, and doodled the framed around it with Faber-Castel PITT Artist Pen. I embellished this card with some of the Sweet Lavender Buttons.

On the second and third artist trading cards, I did the same steps that I used to create the first card above.

I also used one of the sentiments from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black) and one of the card from the Paper Snippets : TODAY. I embellished it with some of the Baby Blue Buttons.

And on this third artist trading card, I used one of the cute little cassettes from Bits & Pieces : Daily Thoughts to embellish the cup and the sentiment is from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black). I trimmed the sentiment paper and added on the cassette with adhesive glue. I embellished it with some of the Light Mint Buttons.

For finishing touch, I added some of white gesso on the edges of all the artist trading cards with my finger for extra distress look on them.

Thank you so much for stopping by today… Have a wonderful day!

A Mixed Media, Encouragement Card ~ Be Still And Know That I Am God

Graciellie Design

Hello everyone… I am here today with a mixed media, encouragement card using digital stamp set, acrylic paint, watercolor pencils, metallic watercolor paint, and gel pen.

I use the new released digital stamp from Graciellie Design called You Matter. This set is packed with beautiful floral image and encouraging, up-lifted sentiments.

I created the floral frame using Photoshop software (or any editing program will work). I opened and resized the png file, then I made 3 more duplicates. I flipped the flowers and arranged them by connecting each end of the flower.

Next, I group them together so I can resize them to fit any card sizes I use. I created several sizes on one page and then saved it in PNG and PDF formats. On this one, I used the 4″ size frame.

I opened one of the sentiment on Photoshop, resized, copied-and-pasted in the middle of the frame. Then I printed it on a heavyweight 110 lbs white cardstock using inkjet printer. I dried the ink on the printed image with craft heater.

I colored the printed image using Leisure Arts Watercolor Pencils and small round waterbrush. I simply picked up the colors directly on the tip of the pencils and colored in the flowers. I added some light grey shadow around them, too. I dried them with craft heater. Then I color the stems with yellow gel pen, after that I fussy-cut it with micro-tip scissors.

For the background, it is a gel-printed background. I got 2 gel-printed background with this technique. I added some of the light blue acrylic paint on a gelpress plate with brayer. Next, I stamped the Joy Clair – Broken Brick Background Stamp on the acrylic paint, added a piece of heavyweight white cardstock, and pulled the first print of it. The second print is stamped image with the acrylic paint on the stamp. After the stamping, I clean the stamp under warm water and rubbed it gently to get the paint off it.

I trimmed the printed background panel slightly smaller than the A2 dark blue card. I added some gold metallic and black splatter paints on it, and then I dried it with craft heater.

I added the background panel on the card with permanent adhesive runner and then I added the frame with 3D foam tape and dries-clear adhesive glue.

Card is done… I love how we have the freedom to modify the digital images.

Graciellie Design has 3 new digital stamp sets released today and she is celebrating it with a giveaway. To find out more details, please head over Graciellie Design Blog.

THANK YOU so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope you all enjoy… Have a fabulous and wonderful day!
