CAS Watercolored Poinsettia – Christmas Season

Hello everyone… I am back with Christmas card (again)…It is a CAS Watercolored Poinsettia Christmas Season card.

I have been making Christmas card using the Poinsettia Greetings stamp set from A Jillian Vance Design. I stamp and heat embossed the poinsettia with gold embossing powder. And then I colored them using watercolors brush pens and watercolor brush.

AJVD Christmas Season

After the watercolor paint dried, I fussy cut the flower. On my card today I only used the smaller size of poinsettia.

I die cut a one of side of the white card base using one of the Elegant Stitched Dot Edge Dies. I added a piece of clear acetate on the back of the die cut using strong double sided tape. And then I added the other piece of the edge die cut, aligned it a the bottom of the card and cut off the extra.

I added some gold metallic splatters on the card with flat watercolor brush and Finetec Gold watercolor paint.

I stamped the sentiment directly on the acetate window using StazOn Black ink pad. Then I added the flower with 3D foam tape and finished it with some of the Scralett Satin Sequins.

Today I am also sharing this card at A Jillian Vance Design Blog… I hope you find an inspiration to create your holiday project. THANK YOU so much for stopping by today. May you all have a fabulous blessed day!

Joy Clair November Challenge, Fall Leaves, Mixed Media Card, and More

Hello everyone… NOVEMBER is here! The cooler FALL weather is finally arrived here in Southern Ohio. It is time for the new challenge, Joy Clair November Challenge and a new release info.

For this month challenge, we have this beautiful photo inspiration for you and this month’s theme is Stencil It.

For this challenge, I created a mixed media card using the Joy Clair – Fall Leaves Stamp Set and TCW 6×6 Bricks Stencil.

Joy Clair November Challenge Fall Leaves Mixed Media Card

First, I stenciled the bricks on kraft cardstock with VersaMagic Cloud White Ink and make-up sponge. Then I die cut it with one of the ODBD Rectangles Dies. I set it aside to dry completely while I working on the leaves.

I stamped the leaves from the Fall Leaves stamp set with Hero Arts Autumn Ombre Ink Pad, and then I fussy cut them with micro-tip scissors. Then I added some glitter on each of the leaf with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush Pen.

I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set on the stenciled panel. I wrapped some of the May Arts Ribbon Natural Twine on the panel and then I added it on the card base with some 3D foam tapes. I then added some white paint splatters from the mix I made of white acrylic paint and water.

I added those leaves on the card with liquid adhesive and 3D foam tape, too.

And for today blog hop, I have a couple of cards that I made using the new Typografia In Faith collection:

STAMPlorations Typografia In Faith Blog Hop and Giveaway

On my first card I used the Every Perfect Gift stamp on my card. First I stamp it on a piece of watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black, added some clear embossing powder on it, then heat set it with my craft heater.

I scribble some of the yellow Spectrum Noir Aqua Marker on a clear stamping blog. I then wet the stamped watercolor paper with clean water, and using the watercolor brush, I picked up the pigment and added on the wet paper to create the gradient color background. Since the image is heat embossed, it resist the watercolor paint.

When the watercolor panel dried, I run it through my diecutting machine with one of the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies. I added the panel on the card base from Canvas Corp with 3D foam tape and finished it with some natural twine ribbon.

STAMPlorations Typografia In Faith Blog Hop and Giveaway

The second card I created using the Glory To God Stamp. First, I created the night scene directly on the card base using heavy weight white cardstock and Distress Inks. Then I stamped the image on another heavy weight white cardstock with Fired Brick and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink using Mini MISTI so I could stamp 2 colors at the same time. To give the distressed look on the stamped image, I sprinkled some water and dabbed it right away with paper towel since it is not watercolor paper.

After that, I run it through my diecutting machine with the Stitched Winter Landscape Die and I sponged some of the same green shades from Distress Inks on the trees and house. Then I added some glitter on them with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush Pen. And I finished the card with some of the silver stars from Pretty Pink Post.

That’s all my cards today… I hope you all are inspired! Don’t forget to visit STAMPlorations blog to enter the giveaway and see more from the team! But…. before you go…
