I traced the wreath on a watercolor paper with watercolor pencils. And then using small waterbrush, I pulled the pigment to fill the images. I dried the watercolored wreath with craft heater.
I added some paint splatters on the background panel with some shimmer spray paints using small brush. I dried the whole background panel again with craft heater. Then, I trimmed it and added it on a 5.5″ square glitter green card using permanent strong adhesive glue (sometimes, regular permanent adhesive runner not sticky enough on a glitter cardstock).
I cut out a piece of green glitter cardstock using the Christmas Blessing phrase die, and I added it on the card with permanent adhesive glue. I decided to add some glossy accent on top of the red berries.

I had so much fun creating this card. I tried to get a sort of modern, retro look with some texture on the background.
I swiped the ink pads across the white cardstock, overlapping a little bit between colors to get the secondary colors. After that, I sprayed it with some water, let it sit for a couple seconds, and then dabbed off the water with paper towel. I dried the background panel with craft heater.
Next, I taped the Squares Flexi Template on the background panel and then, I sprayed some more water and dabbed it off with paper towel to get the square ghosting look. I dried it with craft heater.
I put the templates back on and then sprayed some of the mixed media paint spray. This pray has some metallic residue in it that gives the metallic shiny look on the background. I removed the flexi-template off the backgroud panel and then dried it completely with craft heater.
I trimmed the background panel into a square shape. I wrapped some natural twine ribbon around it in the center of the panel, and then I added it on the card with 3D foam tape.
I stamped the sentiment from the Bloomfully Faith stamp set with black pigment ink in a white cardstock, trimmed it into a flag label banner, and then I punched the other side with small hole punch. I added the sentiment banner on the card, and tied it up with the twine. I put a dot of permanent glued at the back of it so it will stay on top of the twine.
I love how this CAS mixed media card turned out. Simple, yet has some texture and dimension.

I used Distress Oxide ink with the Brick Wall Stencil for the background. I added the inj with blending brush and the after that, I sprayed it lightly with water. I dabbed off the water with paper towel.
I dried the finished background panel with craft heater and trimmed it slightly smaller than the A2 card. I added it on the card with E-Z Runner Grand adhesive.
I stamped the floral cup with VersaMark ink on a watercolor paper and sprinkled it with some of the WOW! Fairy Tale Embossing Powder. After I tapped off the extra embossing powder, I heat it up with craft heater.
I colored the embossed image with Viviva Watercolor and water brush. This is one of my favorite watercolor paint! So vibrant and gorgeous colors.
I dried the watercolor paint with craft heater. And then, I fussy cut it with scissors. I added it on the card with permanent adhesive.
I cut out a piece of burlap cardstock using the word die. This is very thick cardstock so I had to run it through my die cutting machine several times. I added the burlap word on the card with permanent adhesive.
Final step, I added some white paint splatters on the card.
Hello everyone… Today I have a Nativity mixed media acrylic tag to share with you all. I hope it is not to early for Christmas project!
For my tag today, I use one of the tags from the Acrylic Tag Album. All Clear Scrap acrylic sheets, acrylic tags, and shaker plastic cover have clear plastic covers to protect the surfaces.
I removed the clear plastic covers from both sides of the tag, and then I covered the acrylic tag surface with the mod podge (gel medium will work well, too for this step).
I added the old hymnal music page on the tag and then cover it again with the mod podge and let it dried well.
After surface dried well, I trimmed the extra paper with scissors.
I covered the surface randomly with metallic paste (gold and silver), and I also added some white gesso.
When the that paste and white gesso layer dried well, I covered the whole tag with Glitter mod podge for some sparkle look on it (I really wish the camera can capture it!). Then let it sit to dry.
If you are not patient enough waiting each layer of medium to dry, you can dry them with craft heater, but have to be very very very careful to not be over heated becuase the acrylic tag can bend or the paste can be bubbly.
Next step, I put the 4×6 Nativity stencil on top of the tag and I taped it down so it would not move around when I added the modeling paste.
I added the Black Ice Metallix Gel on the stencil just on the navitity image.
On the craft mat, I mixed some fine iridescent glitter with the white modeling paste. Then I added the paste on the stars above the nativity image.
I set the tag aside and let the paste to dry while I worked on the extra embellishment pieces.
I cut out some green and red cardstock using the holly leaves swirl and berries dies from A Jillian Vance Design. Then, I printed the digital sentiment from Graciellie Design on a white cardstock, and cut it with the oval stitched die.
I added all the extra pieces on top of the tag, right bellow the nativity with 3-in-1 Beacon adhesive and some 3D foam tape for extra dimension.
I hope this will give you more ideas for your Holidays projects. It is coming soon for sure! Visit Clear Scraps store to check on what’s new!
