I am thankful for the house, van, and Jeep.

I am thankful for the washer that washes our clothes.

I am thankful for the drier that dries our clothes.

I am thankful for the dish washer that washes our dishes.

I am thankful for the coffee maker that brews the coffee for us every morning.

I am thankful for the gas stove and oven that we can cook and bake easily.

I am thankful for all these electronics that we can use for our works, hobbies, and fun.

I am thankful for the internet that fast and we can use for watching TV shows.

I am thankful for the fire place and furnace so that we won’t be cold in the Winter.

I am thankful for the AC so that we won’t be too warm in the Summer.

I am thankful for the sitting toilet that better and cleaner that squatty potty.

I am thankful for the hot water and shower that I love it!

I call these are luxuries in my life because my parents cannot afford to have all of these.

They are too luxury stuff for us.

But God has been so gracious to provide for us to live here!

I am grateful!

Gratefulness Day 3: Something Beautiful

Something beautiful… It is one hard to pick for today photo of gratefulness. But I am thinking of my beautiful hometown North Sulawesi, Indonesia.

A place on earth where I was born, raised and grew up. A place that has a special place in my heart.

I thank God for He created such a beautiful place and everything in it. The mountains, the smell of the flowers, the people and hmmm… the food too!  I thank God for who I am and where I was born.

Its beauty simply declares God’s glory.

Gratefulness Day 1, 2, 3

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Giving thanks is God’s will for each of His follower. We are called to be thankful in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, not only when we have something to celebrate or we got answer to our prayer. We give thanks to God each day.

This month of November is the month where people love sharing things that they thank God for. I couple of days ago, I saw this “Gratefulness November Photo Challenge” posted on my friend’s Facebook wall

Mission Emphasis Weekend: Salvation Is For All People

20130923-095133.jpg
Last weekend, 9/20 – 9/22, our local church, Grace Baptist Church, held a Mission Emphasis Weekend. There were two other couples who are missionaries shared about the passion God has put in their hearts to serve Him.

We are so thankful for all people who are praying for all the people who have not yet heard the Good News in all nations and asking God to reveal His glory and reigns among the people groups.

We represented the work of Wycliffe for Southeast Asia (where we will be going) and were given an opportunity to share the update of what God has been doing in the last 1 year to the Church. There were some friends came from Michigan and Kentucky and it was wonderful to see them again. We also made new friends with the other couples who shared God’s works through them in other countries.

On Friday evening, we had a pot luck dinner together at the church, meeting and greeting the guest missionaries and getting to know them.

On Saturday morning, the Ladies for Mission of the church also blessed us, missionary wives, by taking us for a day out with them, had lunch and went shopping with them at a nearby mall. We had a blast. And the Men of the church hosted a BBQ a.k.a. grilling night for the husbands, at a member’s house. Dave, my husband, gave a short devotion there.

On Sunday Service, God encouraged each of us with the Word of God, testimonies, and fellowship of the Body of Christ! The Pastor reminded us that the message of the Salvation of for all people, those who live in our neighborhood, in our county, state, country and to all the all nations! God is unlimited! His grace is for everyone!

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Romans 10:9-15

Maybe those verses is so popular, or you have read many times, or heard many times from many preachers and missionaries, but would read them again and pray?

There are about 200 Million people are waiting to hear the Good News of salvation God has provided in Christ Jesus. They are living without God and hope. They need to know that they have HOPE!

That was fruitful and wonderful weekend.

He will draw people to His own glory and save them! He is God! He reigns!

She is ONE Now!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Doodle Bug!

I remember exactly this time around I was at the hospital and having this cute little baby girl. My husband, Dave, was there right beside me in the surgery room, held my hand, and even allowed by my OB/GYN to witness the moment they pulled the baby out of my womb. He can tell you the story better than me. He thought it was the awesomest thing he ever seen in his life!

The first time I held her in my arms, she was so tiny and I couldn’t stop crying to see once again God made a miracle in our family. He made her beautifully and fearfully, He has written her life in His book. He has her future planned perfectly.

Today, we are celebrating her first birthday. YES, SHE IS ONE YEAR OLD NOW! Time flies when we have so much fun and time to spend together. Can’t thank God enough for His grace, mercy, love and blessings in her life. We have seen God has been working in her life since she was born and we are seeing now, and we will see God’s hands in her life in the future.

I am one blessed Mama! God has given me delightful and beautiful daughters and an amazing, loving husband. He made my life complete!

I never stop thanking God my Father and Jesus Christ, my Savior and Lord for them every single moment!
