Dare 2B Artzy October Challenge | Autumn Greetings Slimline Card

Hello hello hello everyone… Sending you all an Autumn greetings all the way from Ohio… Fall is in the air for sure becuase the leaves are changing colors and the weather is cooler.

There is a new challenge at Dare 2B Artzy blog today… You can guess the theme of this month. Yes… it is Fall theme!

I tried a new technique to me to create this slimline card. It is called Floating Die Cut. Many crafters used frame die to cut out a frame (like in this video) but I decided to leave it as is to get the full floating leaves background. I love how it turned out becuase it looks like Batik background.

To create that background, I cut out many leaves and acorns from this gorgeous Autumn Leaves Paper (it is also one of the patterned papers from the Harvest Collection Variety Pack) using the Fall Leaves Die.

The sentiment is from the Foxy Greetings stamp set that I stamped it with Eucalyptus Catherine Pooler Ink Pad on a white cardstock using Mini MISTI. And then I cut it into a sentiment banner using on of the label die from the Wavy Slimline Framelit Dies.

I added some iridescent sequins randomly in between the leaves for extra sparkly.

I hope you all can join the D2BA October Challenge. You can use any products on your NEW project, but when you use any D2BA products you will get second entry! You will have a chance to win a $15 Gift Certificate when you link up your project (max 3 projects, direct link to your blog post or project gallery, not the general link). Cannot wait to see your projects…. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have wonderful day!

STAMPlorations October Stencil Challenge | Thankful Coffee Card

Hello everyone… October is here!!! It is a new month and we have a new Stencil Challenge for you all.

STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge is always anything goes challenge which you can make any type of projects as long as you use stencils on it.

On my card today, I used the Brick Wall ARTplorations Stencil, Coffee Joy Stamp Set, Thankful Word Die.

I used Distress Oxide ink with the Brick Wall Stencil for the background. I added the inj with blending brush and the after that, I sprayed it lightly with water. I dabbed off the water with paper towel.

I dried the finished background panel with craft heater and trimmed it slightly smaller than the A2 card. I added it on the card with E-Z Runner Grand adhesive.

I stamped the floral cup with VersaMark ink on a watercolor paper and sprinkled it with some of the WOW! Fairy Tale Embossing Powder. After I tapped off the extra embossing powder, I heat it up with craft heater.

I colored the embossed image with Viviva Watercolor and water brush. This is one of my favorite watercolor paint! So vibrant and gorgeous colors.

I dried the watercolor paint with craft heater. And then, I fussy cut it with scissors. I added it on the card with permanent adhesive.

I cut out a piece of burlap cardstock using the word die. This is very thick cardstock so I had to run it through my die cutting machine several times. I added the burlap word on the card with permanent adhesive.

Final step, I added some white paint splatters on the card.

STAMPlorations is one of the Super Sponsors for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers – National Coffee Week Hop. Check out and come hopping along this week for amazing coffee inspiration and prizes!!!

It is another card I made for the National Coffee Week. On this card, I used the Brick Wall ARTplorations Stencil on the background, Zen Coffee Cup Layering Dies, and Just Caffeinate Clear Stickers. On those zen cups I added some DecoFoil Gold Foil Sheet with DecoFoil Foiling Glue Pen.

Clear Scraps | Christmas Nativity Mixed Media Acrylic Tag

Hello everyone… Today I have a Nativity mixed media acrylic tag to share with you all. I hope it is not to early for Christmas project!

For my tag today, I use one of the tags from the Acrylic Tag Album. All Clear Scrap acrylic sheets, acrylic tags, and shaker plastic cover have clear plastic covers to protect the surfaces.

I removed the clear plastic covers from both sides of the tag, and then I covered the acrylic tag surface with the mod podge (gel medium will work well, too for this step).

I added the old hymnal music page on the tag and then cover it again with the mod podge and let it dried well.

After surface dried well, I trimmed the extra paper with scissors.

I covered the surface randomly with metallic paste (gold and silver), and I also added some white gesso.

When the that paste and white gesso layer dried well, I covered the whole tag with Glitter mod podge for some sparkle look on it (I really wish the camera can capture it!). Then let it sit to dry.

If you are not patient enough waiting each layer of medium to dry, you can dry them with craft heater, but have to be very very very careful to not be over heated becuase the acrylic tag can bend or the paste can be bubbly.

Next step, I put the 4×6 Nativity stencil on top of the tag and I taped it down so it would not move around when I added the modeling paste.

I added the Black Ice Metallix Gel on the stencil just on the navitity image.

On the craft mat, I mixed some fine iridescent glitter with the white modeling paste. Then I added the paste on the stars above the nativity image.

I put the 6×6 Ice Crystal Snowflakes Stencil at the bottom of the nativity image and I added some of the mixed glitter paste on it too.

I set the tag aside and let the paste to dry while I worked on the extra embellishment pieces.

I cut out some green and red cardstock using the holly leaves swirl and berries dies from A Jillian Vance Design. Then, I printed the digital sentiment from Graciellie Design on a white cardstock, and cut it with the oval stitched die.

I added all the extra pieces on top of the tag, right bellow the nativity with 3-in-1 Beacon adhesive and some 3D foam tape for extra dimension.

I hope this will give you more ideas for your Holidays projects. It is coming soon for sure! Visit Clear Scraps store to check on what’s new!

Happy National Coffee Day

HAPPY NATIONAL COFFEE DAY to all the coffee lovers out there!!! Today, I join the Coffee Loving Cardmakers and Papercarfters community kicking off our ALL WEEK LONG celebration.

The National Coffee Day Blog Hop starts at Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog where you can read the detail about the blog hop, how you enter to win the prizes from the generous and amazing SUPER SPONSORS!!! Make sure you read the post carefully.

For this first day of the blog hop, I made a slimline coffee card using the Perfect Blend stamp set, coordinating Coffee Cup Die, Wavy Slimline Framelit Dies, Square Framelit Dies, and Fall Harvest Paper Collection Variety Pack.

I cut out a piece of Neenah white cardstock to make the slimeline card base. Then I cut the leaves pattern paper with the Wavy Slimline Framelit Dies. I also cut out a piece of white cardstock with one of the slimline framelit dies.

I added each cut out background layers on the card with E-Z Runner Grand Permanent from Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L who is also a super sponsor.

I had fun creating this coffee cup with paper piecing technique. I stamped the images on Neenah white cardstock, and 2 pattern papers with VersaFine Clair Nocturne.

I cut out the cup and foam with the matching die, and then I fussy cut the pattern papers with micro-tip scissors. I added each piece using the E-Z Runner Grand Permanent. And then I added it on the card with the same adhesive runner.

I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad and then cut it out with the Square Frameline Dies. I added it below the cup with E-Z Runner Grand Permanent Adhesive.

I stamped the coffee bean with VersaFine Clair Pinecone ink pad and cut out the coordinating die. I wanted to give them some shine and sort of look like embellishment enamels, so I inked each of the beans with VersaMark ink and sprinkled with some extra fine clear embossing powder. I held the bean down with twizzers when I heated it with craft heater. I added each coffee bean on the card with Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L Dots Mini.
