Today, I am sharing a mixed media card 🙂 with stencil, color shine spray inks, stamp, watercolor and heat-emboss.
I used Canson Watercolor Paper as the card because I am using spray ink. I did what they called stamping with stencil to create the background. First, I sprayed the Hero Art stencil with Heidi Swapp Color Shine (Pink and Lime) then I added the card on it. I pressed lightly so the ink transfer to the paper. I meant to cover the whole card, but when I lifted up the card, the bottom of it did get the ink well. But I liked it!
I put aside to dry while working on the sentiment and flowers. If you are in hurry, you can use craft heater to dry it 🙂 The flowers are from Essentials by Ellen – Mondy Hydrangea stamp set. I stamped them with Versafine Onyx Black becuase it works the best with watercoloring. I colored them with 2 shades of blue with Derwent Inktense Pencils and then I blended the colors with watercolor brush. Then I cut them out with micro-tip scissors.
For the sentiment, IÂ stamped the word greateful from Winnie & Walter – The Big, The Bold and Blessings stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black Ink on the Bazzill vellum paper. This ink is pigment ink, so while it is still wet, we can add embossing powder on it. So, I did. I added Clear Embossing Powder (CTMH) and I heat-set it with my craft heater. Then I cut it out with micro-tip scissors.
When all done, I added the flowers on the card with 3D faom tape and added some small clear gems on them. Then I added the vellum sentiment below it. I used Martha Stewart Glue Pen to adhere the vellum. Final step, I stamped the word for you with Versafine Onyx Black ink under the word greateful.
The card is done and I distress look background with the flowers and bold sentiment. What do you think?
THANK YOU for visiting me today and I hope you all have a fantastic day!
