Hello crafty friends! It is October and it is time for a new stencil challenge with STAMPlorations!
On my card today, I used the Design Blox #6 Stencil and Skinny Sentiments Word Dies. I made this quick and simple card without any stamping.
I created a watercolor background with Distress Oxide ink using smooshing technique and some water. And then I dried the background. After that I added the stencil on top of the watercolor paper, taped it down with stencil tape. I used the oval blending brush to blend the colors from Distress Oxide inks.
After that, I removed the stencil and added some splatters of water on it. I dabbed off some of the water and dried the whole background panel with craft heater.
I trimmed a black cardstock into 4″ x 5.25″ to create the background black mat for the card. And then, I trimmed the stenciled background panel into 3.75″ x 5″. I added both backgrounds on the card with permanent adhesive runner.
I cut out those two word dies with white and black cardstocks. I stacked them together with permanent dries clear glue and I added on the card with the permanent adhesive runner.
That’s my card for today. I hope this give you an inspiration to create with your stencil. Head over to STAMPlorations Blog today to see more inspiration from the design team and there you can also link up your project.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!
I love the pattern of that stencil. I might have to look into getting that one too! Great quick card design!
