15 Weeks Now

Greenbo Lake, KY (03/25/2012)

Yes, I am 15 weeks pregnant now. It’s been amazing journey for this second one. Being pregnant this time is very different than the first one. We got the confirmation for the my OB/GYN that I am pregnant on February 6th and since then I was sick for the first 6 weeks. I was struggling with eating and weakness. I felt discouraged a lot at those weeks because I felt useless, didn’t have fun with my girl, and laid down all day whole weeks!

But by the grace of God, supports from my amazing husband, Dave, and smile and funny talks of my girl, Abigail, God enable me to go through all the sickness at my first trimester. Finally, I am not at my second trimester. More and more grace I need each day until I deliver this precious second baby, and more and more grace I will need to raise Abigail and the baby.

So much pain, yes. But it’s worth it. At the end I will hold this precious little baby in my hands. That’s the day I am looking for.

And God truly never leave me alone in this journey. Never forsake me. His hands always hold me, His love strengthen me and His presence is really in my life, day by day. More and more I love him.

This is the treasure I will never forget and I will tell my baby that it’s all God and for God only all the praises. I can’t wait to tell this baby that, “You’re a precious gift from God, you are special before God.”

We pray and hope that Abigail is blessed and God prepare her to be amazing, wonderful big sister.

Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from Him. ~ Psalm 127:3

Reunion In Indianapolis

Reunion In Indianapolis with our friend, mentor and future leader

On March 2nd until the 4th we went to Indianapolis to meet George. He was our Discovery South East Asia Team Leader Coordinator for about 10 years. We assisted him in 2006, 2007 and 2008. He is currently the Director of an NGO in Indonesia. Last time we saw him and his wife was in August 2008.

After 4 years, we finally had a chance to meet him again. We spent 2 days with him and discussed lots of things about our future ministry together with him in Indonesia.

He has been a good model and example for us, a humble servant of God. We are so thankful that God led us to meet him and his wife.

Rest In Peace, My Friend

October 2007, Pelatihan Penerapan Linguistik dan Budaya (Applied Linguistics and Culture Training I)

Couple of days ago, I got very very sad news from Indonesia. My dear friend and fellow missionary, Rudy Suseno passed away few minutes later after he had a motorcycle accident in Salatiga, at 6 pm local time, on January 5, 2012.

He was commissioned to an UPG in Java island a day before (Jan 4, 2012). I just cannot imagine the situation and the grief of the family and friends because of this. Rudi was known as a wonderful friend, husband, father, hard-work man, and loving. We had been friends since we first met at Kartidaya Introductory Workshop in 2006, and  then together with other friends we continued the training to the Basic Linguistics Application Training at the same organization in 2007. Then I got married and moved to States with my husband, but still we all still communicating through emails and Facebook. Never lost contact, but not anymore. We cannot contact him, write him message, or even see him in person. He rested in peace now.

IT’S CHRISTMAS EVE ALREADY!! It seems that the year has just gone by so fast, yet so many things are still on our To-Do lis.

December is not just the end of the year, but it’s the month to get ready for the new beginning, getting ready to step into the New Year! Are you ready? In our every day busyness, we easily get distracted by whatever we are doing and forget the most import an thing of Christmas. I hope, each of us will have time to meditate on the true and real meaning of this big celebration that we all preparing.

It is all about CHRIST. He is the reason of this season, the light that we need to step into 2012, the lamp that shines our path, the one and only guidance we need, the Savior who can save our souls, the reason we live.

Many things have happened in our life, and we are so thankful that with the strength, grace, mercy and favor from God through our Lord Jesus Christ, we are enable to get through all the challenges in 2011. He is faithful and everlasting God!

In September 2011, we had our first interview through Skype call with Wycliffe Recruiter Personnel. Later in October 2011, we started our Application progress and it is still in the progress now. If accepted, then we will go to the Wycliffe HQ office in Orlando, FL, for the 2 weeks – EQUIP Camp in April 2012. Please do pray for this process that we are going through, pray for God’s provision and help. We will give you more updates on this process later.

For about 10 months the local church that we have been going didn’t have a pastor. Struggling in frustration but all trust the Lord to send the right one to pastor and disciple His own people at Grace Baptist Church, Minford. God truly worked in each member’s heart while waiting for His answer. Last month, we received God’s answer! He sent Rob McKinney to be our new Pastor. Last week, God provided them a house just couple houses away from the church. This is an amazing answer and miracle for us. They will move into their new house on December 28th and we will have the first Sunday Service together on January 1, 2012! What a wonderful way to start the year!
