One More Tag Card…

Today I made one more card with tags on it.

This card I also use Waffle Flower Surface Tag Starter Kit dies. I cut those tags using my Evolution Advanced die cutter and then I stamped them with the polkadot tag stamp from Waffle Flower Surface Tag Stamp Set using Close To My Heart Gypsy and Honey Exclusive Inks pads. Paper packet I used is Sarita from Close To My Heart (retired). I use the Stitch Guide and  to make the stitches and some coordinating color thread.

The stitch around the card I stamped it from Stitch Wonder stamp set using Slate Exclusive Ink Pad.

Then stamped the sentiment using Close To My Heart Black Pigment Ink Pad and added some glitter embossing powder. I tied up a piece of Baker’s Twine Neutral Metallic on the stacked tags.

This card is inspired by Waffle Flower Sketch from their August/September challenge:

Embossed Tag Shaker Card: Happy Birthday

Today I am participating at Paulina’s fun blog hop, Cutting Edge. She is one talented and creative card maker! Her blog, Pretty Pink Posh, is full of inspirations. She also owns a store where you get tons of gorgeous colorful sequins.

Now my card…. I found a new fun way of creating card using dies and die cut machine. For this card, I used Surface Tag Die – Starter Kit and Surface Tag Stamp Set from Waffle Flower.

I cut a piece White Daisy cardstock for A2 card base. Then I used my Scallop Border Punch to punch the bottom scallop edge card. The I cut a piece of burlap ribbon (I got a spool of wide burlap ribbon from Hobby Lobby few months ago) and using Liquid Glass to add it on the card. This amazing glue works the magic, clear and quick dry.

I stamped the stitch border from Surface Tag Stamp Set using Slate Exclusive Inks Pad and the “with love” with Black Exclusive Inks Pad. The sentiment I stamped it using VersaMark ink pad, added some Gold embossing powder and heated it up with my Craft Heater.

On a piece of watercolor paper, I created the background for the shaker. I used CTMH Watercolor Pencils, added some water to blend the colors and then using my Craft Heater to dry it. I added a piece of velum on the window, then added some 3D foam tape (I double the foam tape for thicker foam) around the window of the tag, sequins and then added the watercolored background to cover the back. I took a piece of baker twine and tied it up on the tag. Using some Liquid Glass, I added the shaker tag on top of the burlap. The card is done and shaker-y 😀

I had so much fun making this shaker tag  card 😀 I hope you like my card today. Thanks for visiting!

DIY Embossed Bow Tie Necklace

I was so excited when Rizzi at Thermomorph asked me to do a review about this amazing moldable plastic. Thermomorph is made out of polymorph that you can use in many ways you can think of. You can fix things, make things and even sculpt thing s with it. Yes the sky is the limit!

Today I would love to share with you what I did with Thermomorph. I made few things out of it… just having too much! It is very easy to work with this moldable plastic. First, boil a kettle of water. I used our electric kettle, just quicker and easier. I put the boiled water in a bowl and added a spoonful in it. I watched the plastic beads turning into clear plastic. I forgot to time it but it was not that long.

I used the spoon to get it out of the hot water and put on the table. It will be sticky, so don’t worry.  It gets cool quickly. While it was touchable, I started to work with it.

I used my daughter’s play dough plastic roller to flatten the Thermomorph on the CTMH Dot embossing folder, as thin as possible. Then I added Bowtiful Die Cut from Waffle Flower Crafts and secured it with a tape. Then I run it through my die cut machine, Evolution Advanced couple times.

It didn’t cut all the way, so I used my craft knife to cut the bow tie. Then I colored it using CTMH Cotton Candy Pigment Ink using small round sponge. I let it drying a little bit then I prayed it with Plaid Clear Acrylic coating. And when it completely dried, I added some clear glitter all over the bow. Oh I also poke 2 holes where I wanted to put the claps for the necklace chain, first I used the craft knife carefully and then used the biggest needle I had to poke the holes all the way through.

To finish the necklace, I added the cute button using E6000 glue and then claps for the chain.

And here’s my cute happy model… She has to have that necklace every single day! That smile on her face that makes my day! Both of my daughters are inspirations for me to create every single day! She even said, “Mama, I want to make something with your cool thing.” 😀

And some extra pretty things I made. These flowers I used Modpodge molder that I got from Walmart the other day and colored them using Plaid acrylic paints (I stole my daughter’s paint set! LOL!). Once they all completely dried, I added some clear glitter glue to them. I used E6000 glue to add them on the clips, ring base and earring.

When  I was done with my project, I still have some left. One of the cool thing from Thermomorph is that the left over can be used again later. I store it back in the jar, close the lid and they are there until I want to use it again.

I totally recommend you this for any craft projects, it is great for making embellishments for your scrapbooking and cards, or easy to use with any embossing folders or stencils for your mix-media projects. Like I said before, sky is the limit! You can get this product at Amazon.

Just Because

I was so excited when I got my prize from Waffle Flower blog hop giveaway on last Friday! I won the new set, Surface – Tag Stamp Set and I couldn’t resist not to order the coordinating dies, Surface – Tag Die Starter Kit. And also I got the Bowtiful Die Set but cannot get the Bowtiful Stamp set because it was out of stock but now it is in-stock!

Here’s my first card I made using my first Waffle Flower products:

For the sentiment, I die cut a piece of Lagoon cardstock with the tag die and stamped it with the White Daisy Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad.

And the flower I made out of the small bows. I die cut Honey cardstock using the Bowtiful Die set and then just stacked 2 bows together using mini glue dots and added a button brad. Quick and easy, yet beautiful flower 🙂

I felt like something still missing on my card… So I added the Durable Triangle Studs. Yup! That’s it 🙂

The inside I stamped the Happy Birthday with Black Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad. And for those stars, I stamped with Lagoon, Goldrush and Honey Exclusive Inks Stamp Pads.
