It is time for the Technique Blog Hop again! This month, we are featuring the new coordinating stamp sets and thin cuts (metal dies) from Close To My Heart. Updated on the Thin Cuts: the Spring Critters Thin Cut is limited quantities remain and the Springtime Wishes is sold out!
You should arrive from Kirsten’s blog. I hope you are inspired by her project 🙂 Today I am sharing a card that I created using Springtime Wishes stamp set and matching Thin Cut set.
I stamped each image from Springtime Wishes with Slate Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad. And then using with the matching thin cuts, I cut the images by running them under my WRMK Evolution Advanced diecutting machine.
Before I arranges those flowers and leaves, on a piece of Watercolor Paper, I added some light Sorbet Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad using aquash watercolor brush. I speed the drying by using the Craft Heater. Once the watercolored background dried completely, I added the flowers and leaves using adhesive runner amd 3D foam.
For the sentiment, I heat embossed one of the sentiment from Joyful Birthday stamp set with Ranger™ Princess Gold Embossing Powder on a strip of Black Cardstock and added it on the card using 3D foam tape. I finished the card with some clear sparkles.
A tip for you: after you die cut the shapes, do not throw away the negative because use can use it as stencil 🙂 I will post a project using this tip later.
How about more inspirations? Here are other cards I created with these stamp set and thin cuts for January Technique blog hop:
I hope you are inspired to create something using CTMH coordinating Stamp Sets and Thin Cuts today 🙂 Your next hop is Wendy’s blog to see what she has created for you this month.
THANK YOU so much for visiting and have a fantastic day!
Beautiful cards! Great job.
Thank You, Kristen 🙂
What a pretty card, I really like the contrast of the gold embossing on black paper for the title. Also, thanks for sharing the tip about using the cut out as a stencil, great idea that I will have to try.
Thank You, Tammy! You’ll love the stencil 🙂
I really love how you kept the flowers simple and highlighted them with the color background and bold sentiment.
Thank You, Cat 🙂
Your cards are so beautiful! The wash behind the flowers is a perfect background. The Bokeh on the other cards is beautiful!
Thank You, Michelle 🙂
