Shiny Pearly Christmas Cards

Hello everyone! Thanksgiving is TOMORROW! Can’t you believe that? And that means that Christmas is only a month away… I am still working on Christmas cards and gifts, so today I would love to four cards I made with 1 design.

Shiny Pearly Christmas Cards with Joy Clair Stamps

On today’s cards I used stamps from Joy Clair: Christmas Border clear stamp set and Holly Jolly Santa clear stamp set, together with Distress Inks, Versamark ink pad, Ranger Gold embossing powder, Clear Embossing Powder, ODBD – Ornate Ovals Dies, ODBD – Layered Lacey Ovals Dies, Perfect Pearl mix spray, Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers, and some plaid ribbons.

First, I started with creating the backgrounds. On Canson watercolor paper, I stamped and heat-embossed the images from Christmas Border clear stamp set.

And then, I sponges the Distress Inks on each background with make up sponges. Below you can see the color combo of each background. The clear heat-embossed background resisted the Distress Inks. After that, I splatters some water and dabbed it with paper towel for some extra texture on the backgrounds.

Next step is to put the card together. For mass produce cards, I love just to pick 1 design. For these cards, I die cut the labels using ODBD ovals dies and heat-embossed the sentiment from Holly Jolly Santa clear stamp set with Ranger Gold embossing powder.

Then I added the ribbon around the tag, and wrapped it around each background panel, tied up a bow on each. I secure the ribbon with a mini thin glue dot under each bow. But you can use any liquid glue that dries clear and safe to use with ribbons. I also decided to added extra glue dots under each label to make sure it stayed on the card.

I added the backgrounds on the A2 card bases with adhesive runner. I used a lot adhesive because to make sure they stay on the card. Here are the picture of each of them:

I colored the holly leaves and berries with Spectrum Aqua markers. And then I wanted to add extra shiny on the card but did not want to use gems since I already have those bows, so won’t be too bulky to send. So, I sprayed the Perfect Pearl mixture on each of them. Oh… they are shiny and pearly now! Check out the video below:

I know it is a long one today… 😀 I hope you find some inspirations today to keep creating handmade Christmas cards to share the joy of the season this month! THANK YOU for visiting me and have a fabulous day!

Jesus Is The Reason For The Season

Hello everyone, today.. I am sharing another Christmas card, yup… still working with this holiday cards 😀

Jesus Is The Reason

On today’s card, I am using the new November release stamps and dies from Our Daily Bread Designs: Snowflake Sky Die, Jesus Loves You stamp/die duos, and Snowflake Season Collection 6×6 paper pad.

For the background, I used a silver glitter paper that I die cut it with the snowflake sky background die, and then I added on a red A2 card base with Liquid Glass glue from Close To My Heart.

For the sentiment, I die-cut one of the patterned paper from the Snowflake Season paper collection with the word die – Jesus, and heat-embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set with Ranger Superfine White embossing powder on a black cardstock. I cut out the banner tail with micro-tip scissors. Then I added the sentiment banner first on the card with 3D foam adhesive and then the word die – Jesus with Liquid Glue on to of the banner.

My card is finish. Since I still have some more cards to make, for this one I go with clean and simple design. I hope you find this inspiring you to create handemade Christmas cards to spread the joy of the season 🙂 THANKS a bunch for visiting me today!

Jesus Is The Way, The Truth, The Life

Hello everyone! Thanksgiving is less than a week from today and I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving preparation week so far. We will be so easy to get caught into the craziness and busyness of preparation, but by remembering the goodness He has done in our life, we give thanks to the LORD, from whom all the blessing we have received all year long. And let’s our hearts be filled with thanks and giving for the next year to come.

And… After the Thanksgiving day, we are preparing for the next merriest Holiday, Christmas! The beginning of Christmas is knowing who is the center of this Celebration. For us, Jesus is the center of this celebration. And it does not stop there… Jesus is the center of our lives for He is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6)

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs November Release, here is the card/project I created using ODBD – Jesus Loves You Stamp/Die Duos set, ODBD Custom Die – Snowflake Sky, ODBD Snowflake Season Collection – 6×6 paper pad, and ODBD Custom Die – Stitched Ovals.

For the sentiment label, I die cut a white cardstock with one of the ODBD Custom Die – Stitched Ovals and then embossed it with the same die. Then I stamped the sentiment from the ODBD – Jesus Loves You Stamp/Die Duos set on the oval die cut with Red mini ink pad. I die cut one of the patterned paper from ODBD Snowflake Season Collection – 6×6 paper pad with the Jesus die cut that comes from the ODBD – Jesus Loves You Stamp/Die Duos set. Also, before I remove the die cut of the die, I run it through again my machine to embossed it. Love the extra texture on it after the embossing. Then I added the die cut Jesus on the label base with Liquid Glass glue.

For the background paper, I used the ODBD Snowflake Season Collection – 6×6 paper pad. I cut it into 4.25″ x 5.5″ and added it on the A2 card base. And then I die cut a piece of silver foil paper (DCWV) with the ODBD Custom Die – Snowflake Sky, and then embossed it with the same die for extra texture on them. I added the die cut background on the card base with Liquid Glass glue (CTMH).

After creating the background, I added the label I made on the card with 3D foam tape. I decided not to add any embellishments because I want the Jesus and the Bible verse be the center of the card. And I think the snowflake patterned paper and foil snowflake sky die cut give the extra bling on it already 🙂

CAS Mixed Media Coffee Card

In the beginning of the year, I started exploring mixed media. This technique can be very messy, complicated and lots of layers. At the beginning it intimidated me, but then I figured out that mixed media can be simple, too. Mixed media is basically you mix more than 2 mediums on your project.

So, today, I would like to share with you a simple CAS Mixed Media card with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Stamp, Die & Texture Fade – Coffee Time and Sizzix Tag die set.

clc-thursday-hello-mixedmedia

First, I created my background with the embossing folder. I added the Canson watercolor paper on the folder and run it through my die cutting/embossing machine. And then I added Hero Arts – Autumn Ombre Ink on the raised side of the embossed paper, and then spray with  the mixed of Perfect Pearl and water in my mini mister. That mixture of spray give the watercolor look and pearly shine on it.

On another piece of canson watercolor paper, I stamped the cup image from the same set with Versafine Onyx Black and then watercolor it with Spectrum Noir Aqua Marker (Crimson). You can see, I am inspired but the Starbucks red cup 🙂 After the image dried well, I die cut it with the matching die that comes from the same set. I also die cut the sleeve our of white card stock and I stamped the word hello as the sentiment from the same set with Hero Art Red mini ink pad.

clc-thursday-hello-mixedmedia1

I die-cut the burlap using one of the Sizzix tag die cut set. Then I added a piece of ribbon on it and secured it with CTMH Mini Stapler. I added the burlap tag on the card with CTMH Liquid Glass Glue (multi purpose glue), and then I added the cup on the burlap with 3D foam tape for extra dimension.

That’s my CAS Mixed Media card with some inking/stamping, embossing, watercoloring, shimmer spray, burlap, ribbon, and cardstock. Simple yet has more than 2 mediums I used on this card. There are many ways you can create mixed media project.

Clean-and-Simpe Thanks Card

Thanksgiving day is a week from now. There are so many things we are thanking God for. He has done amazing and unexpected things in our lives in this year.

Today I am thankful to be able to make another thank you card to send out this week. I made this clean-and-simple card with simple heat embossing resist techniques.

Thanks

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink, added clear embossing powder and heat set it with my craft heater. Using make sponges, I added the Distress inks on the bottom of the canson watercolor paper. And then I splattered with some water and wiped it of with paper towel after several seconds.

I die cut some of the weath leaves out of kraft cardstock and added them on the card with Liquid Glass glue. I formed them like a half wreath. Then I stamped the heart and fussy cut it, then added it at the center of the half wreath with 3D foam tape for some dimension. Then I added some sparkly glitter on the hearts and leaves using Spectrum Noir glitter brush.

I added some of the Fall Festive sequins and natural twine on the panel. Then I added the finished panel on the card base with 3D foam tape.

Here are supplies I used today:
