Waking up early this morning before anybody else, I had time with the LORD. It has been a long time I did not have a quite time with God and His word like today.
As I was reading and listening the book of Psalm (catching up with my 90 Days of Reading the whole Bible in this summer), I read Psalm 5:3 and made it my prayer this morning:
Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. (Psalm 5:3 NLT)
Because I miss Him, His voice, His touch, His presence and His love.
And God answered me with Psalm 23, giving me assurance that He is all that I need and He is with me all the time and He is my renewer, provider, guide, protector and comforter. I will be with Him forever in His presence:
The LORD is my shepherd;
I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the LORD
forever. (Psalm 23:1-6 NLT)
For all of these, oh LORD my God, I am so thankful and ask for nothing else. For:
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.
You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever! (Psalm 30:11, 12 NLT)
