It’s The Season | Warm Christmas Wishes

Hello hello hello… Christmas is about 53 more days… I am excited and love this season so much. This is the season we are celebrating the greatest gift we ever received in our lives!

Today, I am joining the Joy Clair team for the It’s The Season Event where we all showcasing the Holiday theme stamps on our projects.

I created a Christmas card with the new Penguin Tropical Christmas Clear Stamps Set and the new Christmas Light Background Stamp. Both stamp sets just released this month. Aren’t those penguins adorable?

I started with creating the background by stamping the Christmas Light Background Stamp on a piece of Canson Watercolor paper using VersaMark Ink Pad, MISTI and Misti Creative Corners. After that, heat embossing the image with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. I heat it up with my craft heater.

I colored those lights with Leisure Arts Watercolor Pencils and Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Brush for extra shiny sparkles on those light bulbs…only because they are Christmas Lights…should be shiny and sparkle. After the watercolor paint dried, I trimmed the panel into 4 inch x 5.25 inch and I added it on an A2 White Card with adhesive glue.

Using my MISTI again, I stamped all the adorable images from the Penguin Tropical Christmas Clear Stamps Set using VersaFine Clair Ink Pads on another piece of Canson Watercolor paper. After stamping them all, I dried them with craft heater.

I colored them also with Leisure Arts Watercolor Pencils and Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Brush. I colored them outside of line, only becuase I would fussy cut all the pieces later.

After cutting them all, I added the coconut tree trunk, leaves and coconuts pieces on the card with adhesive glue.

Then I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock with VersaFine Clair Nocturne, and using sponge dauber, I added some of the Vintage Photo Distress Ink on it to make it look like a wood plank. I punched the tiny holes on to of the sentiment card with WRMK Crop-A-Dile and added the natural twine ribbon on it.

To add the sentiment sign on the tree is bit tricky… So… when I glued all the leaves, actually on the top of the leaves and left the bottom of the leaves unglued. So I tucked the twine under those leaves and add a little bit of glue just to make sure the twine is secured well on the card. I added some glue also under the sentiment.

I put the pieces of clothing on those penguins with adhesive glue, and then I added them at the bottom of the card with the same adhesive. They make me smile… and I hope the recipient will be, too… and feel the warm Christmas wishes as well.

I hope you all can enjoy this card today and be inspired to create your Christmas projects. Don’t forget to hop over to Joy Clair Blog for MORE INSPIRATIONS from the team today!
