Good morning crafty friends, today I am sharing a one-layer card using heat-embossed watercolored resist technique. I recently have been trying to create night sky scene background using distress inks, dye inks, and watercolor paints.
And I stumbled upon a video tutorial from a crafty friend, Ingrid Blackburn, on YouTube, and I tried it 🙂 On this card, I use the Merry Christmoose stamp set.
For the card base, I used Canson Watercolor 140 lbs. First, I heat-embossed the trees and sentiment with white embossing powder. For the snow dots, I picked up the Versamark re-inker with small round brush and added on the card, then heat-embossed it with the same embossing powder.
Next step is adding water on the card. Using big round brush, I added the water all over the panel. This is called wet-on-wet technique. Then I added the colors one by one on the panel. I used Gansai Tambi watercolor paint for this card. I used my craft heater to speed up the drying 🙂
I am sharing this project on Joy Clair Blog using one of their November New Release stamp sets.
