Hello crafty friends, Christmas is 6 weeks away! Can’t you believe it? Christmas season is one of our favorite times. And for this special season, I am making Christmas cards for our church friends and families.
Today, I would love to share with you that you can embossed with die-cut plate! One way to stretch background die-cutting plates. On my card, I am using the Snowflake Dies from the ODBD – Snowflake Dies Bundle:
These die sets are not only for diecutting, but also can used to emboss and as stencil. On my card I embossed the watercolor paper with the Snowflake Sky die using my WRMK Evolution Advanced diecutting machine. Then I added watercolor paints on it and blended the blue and hot pink to create the indigo and purple shades on it. For sentiment and embellishments, I die-cut and embossed one of the Layered Lacey Oval Dies and Snow Crystals dies that comes from the Snowflake Dies Bundle. I stamped the sentiment from the Jingle Bell Time from the November Pre-Order Bread Basket Bundle with Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad.
I added the embossed and watercolored panel on the A2 white card base with a lot of adhesive since it is watercolor paper, and I wrapped around the May Arts Ribbon – Natural Twine around the card. Final step, I added the sentiment label and snow flake embellishments on the card with 3D foam tape for some dimension.
