STAMPlorations CUTplorations October Challenge: You Make Life Happy

My family and home totally make my life happy. They are one of my inspirations to create every day. My husband’s love and support, my daughters’ smiles and laughs, and their hugs are my treasures. Every end of the day, I wait for them to come home from school and work, and that is my happy moment 🙂

On my card, I stamped the Blossom Sprays #1 Stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink on a watercolor paper and I watercolored it using Arteza Real Brush Pens and watercolor brush. Then I die cut it using one of the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.

I stamped the sentiment from Bold Sentiment – Sweet on a white cardstock and cut it out with scissors to create the banner.

And then I die cut the word Happy couple times using the Happy Word Die, I stacked them together to create word chipboard for extra dimension to the sentiment.

After all the pieces ready, I added the background panel on the card base with Tombow Xtreme Adhesive to make sure it stays on the card, and then I added the banner sentiment on the card with Tombow Mono Permanent Adhesive, and finally I added the word die using Tombow Mono Aqua Liquid Glue.

I hope you are inspired by this card to join the challenge this month. Need more inspirations? Go over STAMPlorations Blog to see more inspirations from the team and full details on the challenge.

Halloween and Die Cuts Challenge with Joy Clair

On my card I used October Fun Clear Stamps, Spooky Greetings Clear Stamps, and Fall Leaves Clear Stamps.

First, I stamped the leaves randomly directly on the card base to create the background.

Then I stamped the mummy and witch hat on a white cardstock, and fussy cut them.

Using Mini MISTI, I stamp the sentiment with 2 colors ink (green and black). I stamped them twice to get bold result. And I fussy cut it out.

I had extra galaxy watercolored background in my stash that I created with Gelatos and Acrylic Paint (tutorial here), and I die cut it with 2 sizes Circle Dies to create the ring. And I added it on the card with adhesive.

On top of the ring I added the mummy and hat with thick glue dots, and then I added the sentiment with 3D foam tape.

Then I thought this card need some sparkle, so I added some glitter on the witch hat with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush Pen.

Mixed Media Card with Joy Clair Stamp, Foiled Paper, and Iridescent Gelatos

Hello everyone…Today with a fun mixed media card. I have been having fun creating galaxy and nebula background using couple of coloring medium, like watercolor paints, Color Burst and Gelatos.

On my mixed media card, I used one of Joy Clair new stamp set, Out Of The World, together with the Rinea foil papers and Iridescent Gelatos.

On a piece of watercolor paper (you can also use any heavy weight cardstock, as an option), I added some white gesso using old credit card. Then when the gesso was completely dry, randomly I scribbled some of the Iridescent Gelatos (Starbust, Nebula, Stardust, Galaxy, Black Hole) on the paper and then using my finger I mixed the colors. They give the metallic look and extra sparkle on it. Check it out on this short video below:

Come over to Joy Clair Blog to see the full details and steps how to create this fun galaxy card using Joy Clair Stamps.

STAMPlorations Typografia In Faith Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello everyone… WELCOME to STAMPlorations Typografia In Faith Blog Hop! Today I join the STAMPlorations team sharing projects with the new stamp set collection from STAMPlorations, called Typografia In Faith.

Visit STAMPlorations Blog to read and see the full details of the whole Typografia Collection and the design team projects. And… before you leave, do not forget to give each of the designer some love about their project for chances to win giveaway prize.

For this blog hop, I created 2 projects. The first one is a journaling page insert using vellum paper that I added inside my New Living Translation – Inspired Journaling Bible.

To create the insert, first I added the vellum paper (8.5″ x 11″) in between the pages, I traced it with pencil, and then I cut it out with scissors. Or you also can measure you Bible page, and then cut out your vellum paper with paper trimmer, without tracing it first.

STAMPlorations Typografia In Faith - Romans 11:1

I stamped the Faith – Typografia in Faith stamp using Regular MISTI, StazOn Black Jet Ink, and then I sprinkled some clear embossing powder on it. I pre-heated my craft heater for at least 30 seconds or more to avoid wrinkling the vellum paper, and then heat set the embossing powder. The vellum paper wrinkled just a very little bit.

After that, I traced some flowers at the bottom of the page using Bloom Silhouettes ARTPlorations Stencil and Micron Pen 0.3, and using Micron Pen 1 to fill in each flower. These Micron Pens are india ink, so it dries permanently and bold.

I smooshed some of the the Distress Inks on the back of the vellum page to create the night background sky. On this page, I used Antique Linen, Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves, Faded Jeans, and Black Soot. After that, using my finger I blended them. It is way easier if you have blending tool, I do not have it 🙂 And then I used paper towel to wipe off the extra ink.

For extra texture and stars, I sprayed from water using Ranger Spray bottle, and wiped it off with paper towel right away. Water will curl the vellum paper if you let it sit too long.

And my second project is a mixed media tag using the God’s Strength – Typografia In Faith stamp.

I created the tag galaxy background using Gelatos and splatter of white acrylic paints. And then using Mini MISTI, I stamped the God’s Strength – Typografia In Faith stamp with VersaMark ink pad, and added some WOW! Jade Glitter Embossing Powder, heat set it, and then stamped again with VersaMark Ink Pad, added some mixed white-and-glitter embossing powder on it, and heat set again. The result is that looks like it has shadow. Kidda make it pop up, don’t you think? 🙂

Those are all my projects to share with you today.
