30 Days Give Thanks: Day 4

Today, one of God’s blessings in my life is He made me wonderfully and fearfully. I will never stop thanking God for my home country. Though we live far away (in another home country ) but it is always a home for me. I am thankful to be an Indonesian.

Years before I came to know Him and His plan for my life, I always thought being an Indonesian was not a good thing or even I often felt I didn’t want to be an Indonesian. I kept blaming God for making me Indonesian.

But after knowing Him and His amazing plan, I never cease giving Him thanks for made me as an Indonesian. I won’t ever trade His perfect plans for my life with anything else in this world!

What is one thing you thank God for?

Today I give thanks for our Doodle Bug. Since the day she came into our life, she brings extra joy! She is curious and love to explore. She is a quick learner, too. God blesses her in so many ways!

I am a blessed mother in many ways. God teach me every day how much He loves me through my daughters.

He teaches me how much He always wants to be with us every second, every minute, every moment.

He will always be there to teach us, to care for us and to guide us.

Today I am giving thanks for this silky big girl! Since the first time I held her in my arms, I don’t wanna let her go. She will always be my baby girl.

I am blessed God chose me to be her mother. Watching her growing up is something I won’t to miss a thing.

Now, she is at Kindergarten and she LOVES it! She always says, “Today was a bestest day!” (She also loves making up word!)

She is growing up so quick, I think just to fast for me to catch up with her progress.

I thank God for giving her into our life.

30 Days Give Thanks: Day 1

November is here. Trees at our backyard are loosing their leaves, pretty much almost all gone. The ground covers with colorful leaves, big and small. And we have cold cold cold rainy days in the last week of October welcoming this month.

Thanksgiving is just right in front of our door. To encourage and teach our little ones to thank God for His blessings in their lives, we start a tradition to share 1 thing what we thankful for when we sit down before dinner. Starting today.

We do not only thank God for who He is and for what He has done in our lives in the month of November, but it is God’s will for each of us to give thanks in all circumstances, every single moment in our lives.

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭18‬ NLT)

During this thanksgiving month, I would love to take a change sharing with you what I am thankful for every day, the things that God has blessed me and my family in this year.

I stat with giving thanks for my husband. He is an answer to my prayer long before we met. Every day I thank my God for him, his love, patient, and for who he is in Christ Jesus. And he loves cooking, too! So thankful to be his wife and he is my husband! We celebrated our 6th years this year.

What do you thank God for today?

Tuesday Thought: Our First Parent – Teacher Meeting

Last Thursday was our first Parent-Teacher Conference (or Meeting) for our first daughter. It went great and it proofed me that all my worries were nothing.

We arrived about 20 minutes before our schedule to meet our daughter’s teacher. Since she started her Kindergarten, I have been worry about her being away from me. I worried about what would happen to her in the class, or what if she couldn’t make any friends, or what if she wouldn’t listen or even yelled at her teacher or friend, or what if she cried, and what if…

I just keep filling that “What if” blank with things that I could think of.

But that 10 minutes meeting with her teacher wiped all my worries away.

God has shown to me that all my worries are silly. I cannot be with her every day at school, but He is always with her there. I cannot tell what is going on there in that classroom, but God is just right there and sees everything.

Once she is out there, I have no control. This is a big lesson for me as a mom. Trusting my daughter in God’s care and hands at all time!

Her teacher told us that she is making a lot of progress with her social skills. And she is one of the 6 students who can read all the Word Wall Words and sight words. She will put her in a comprehension reading class in November with the other students at the same level.

Her teacher also shared couple funny stories that happened in the classroom that not a surprise for us… LOL!

I am so thankful to see how God has been working in her life. That just amazing to see how He provides a wonderful, sweet and patient teacher for her and her friends, who has been encouraging them. And His presence is real in her life.

He wants me to see all of these and wants me to keep trusting my children in His hands 100% just because He loves them!

Yes, Lord. I wanna trust you more.
