Creative Wordship | Write the Word

It is about a week we stepped into the New Year. We all need new inspiration, new encouragement, new motivation, new vision, new resolution, and more new ideas.

At the beginning of the new year, I found this Life.Church Instagram Post that I found helpful and I wanna share these 5 Myth vs Reality about New Year Resolutions:

Myth 1: I need to change everything to be happy this year.

Truth 1: Real change starts with a renewed mind, not a new calendar. As Romans 12:2 reminds us, transforming our mind in God’s truth is the key to His perfect will for our lives. You don’t need January 1st to start afresh; every day is a new chance with God.

Myth 2: If I make grand New Year’s resolutions, I’ll be more committed.

Truth 2: It’s not the size of your resolutions but the daily small steps you take that lead to significant changes. Commit your plans to the Lord (Proverbs 16:3) and let Him guide your daily walk, not just your yearly goals.

Myth 3: This year must be better than the last, or it’s a failure.

Truth 3: Each year comes with its own set of challenges and blessings. Instead of comparing, learn to find contentment in all circumstances (Philippians 4:11-13). God is at work in every season of your life, molding you for His purpose.

Myth 4: A new year means I must find my purpose.

Truth 4: Your purpose isn’t hidden in the turn of the year; it’s found in your daily relationship with God. As you walk with Him, your purpose will unfold in His timing. Remember, purpose is a journey, not just a destination.

Myth 5: If I’m not where I thought I’d be, I’m behind.

Truth 5: God’s timeline is different from ours. He isn’t restricted by our schedules or societal expectations. Trust in His divine schedule; you’re exactly where you need to be for Him to work in you and through you (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

As you step into this new year, embrace the growth, the learning, and even the setbacks, for they are all part of His greater plan.

This year, I want to be more consistent doing little things and be realistic with my goals rather than comparing myself with others and doing unrealistic things.

I started with this Write The Word project on a small notebook every day. For me, writing down the Bible verses I read helps me to memorize them daily. I write it down not so that I can remember it later but so I can remember it now. It is also a way to train myself to focus on God and spend time with him.

This mini notebook is included in the December Creative Worship Inspiration Box (still available at the store, limited quantities!!!). I used the supplies (stamp sets, stickers, Lindy’s magical shaker, Zig Writer pen) that also included in this box to create these 3 pages and also these supplies:
Books of the Bible stamp set
Word Mapping stamp set
Your Story stamp set
Stitched Rectangle die set
Lines and Crosses mini stencil
Grunge Texture mini stencil
Grunge Dots stencil
Christ the King printable

I used Memento Dew Drop inks for stamping sentiments and images, and Distress Inks for adding texture with stencil on the backgrounds.

Let’s find hope in your new year resolutions with the truth. May God leads and guides you one step at a time.

D2BA | Roses For A Lifetime

Who doesn’t want roses for a lifetime? Today, I would like to share this rose card with you all. When I saw the new Layered Rose Stamp Set at D2BA store, I fell in love with this set.

I created the roses background panel by stamping the image on a white cardstock with Totally Black Artzy Ink Pad. After stamping, I cut the panel with Double Dot Circle Framelit Dies and Rectangle Framelit Dies. I added it to the card base with permanent adhesive runner.

The sentiment is from the Layered Rose Stamp Set that I stamped with Totally Black Artzy Ink Pad using my Mini MISTI stamping tool.

I stamped image stalk of rose with the Totally Black Artzy Ink Pad on a white cardstock and then stamped the layers of the petal and leaves with dye inks using my Mini MISTI stamping tool. I cut the rose with the matching Layered Rose Die Set. I added it to the card with 3D foam dots.

Then I cut couple of the red hearts with the heart die from the Layered Rose Die Set and I added them to the card with 3D foam dots. Then I added some of the gems to embellish the card.

I hope this project inspires you. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Have a wonderful day!

Bible Journaling | Confident In Jesus

Hello everyone… We are at the end of January already! Time flies fast and we cannot stop it. We can keep on going in faith and confident that we have hopeful future.

Today, I wanna share my Bible journaling page on this verse from 1 John 5:14-15.

From this Bible verses, we are encouraged to confident in Jesus when we pray. We need to know and have confident in Jesus that when we ask anything according to His will, he hears us.

Our God is the El Roi, the God who sees us, the LORD who will help us. He is here for you and me.

On my Bible journaling page today, I used Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps:

  • My Savior’s Love Clear Stamp Set
  • Sweetpea Alpha Clear Stamp Set
  • Skinny Caps Alpha Cleat Stamp Set

I stamped all images and alpha letters with VersaMagic Midnight Black, and then I loosely watercolored the flowers and pages using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints.

After watercoloring, I ironed the wrinkle page so it was flat and smooth again for me to write on, plus, dried the paint completely.

I hope this truth encourage you today and you can step into the next month with confident and hope.

Thanks for visiting my blog today, have a wonderful blessed day!
