I am not ready to leave Summer behind. But September has arrived and I also love how the weather is cooling down a little bit here in Southern Ohio 😀 Can’t have everything at the same time, right? LOL! I am just thankful every day we can enjoy the goodness of our God in this given life.
Today, I am sharing a card I created with embossing resist with Distress Inks. Lately I love playing with these inks. Especially I found out how fun to blend them together 🙂
On this card, I first heat-embossed the image from Unity Stamp Company – April KOTM (this set is waiting patiently in my basket to be use…finally!) with Ranger White Embossing Powder on a piece of 4.25 inch x 5.5 inch White Cardstock. Then I blended the Distress inks with make up sponges since I do not have the blending tool. These sponges work well 🙂
Mini Distress Inks I used on this card are Fire Bricks, Spiced Marmalade, Crushed Olive, Evergreen Bough and Seedless Preserves. After I blended them, I splashed some water, let it sit for 10-15 seconds, and dabbed it with paper towel for some texture on the distressed background. I die-cut the panel with WRMK Scallop Rectangle die and Evolution Advanced diecutting machine.
I added some gold glitter paint on a black cardstock for the background. Then I added the die-cut panel on it with Tombow Xtreme Adhesive. I finished the card with the sentiment that I stamped on a vellum and heat-embossed it with Black Glitter embossing powder, and some gold sequins.
I think the love theme sentiment goes great with the rainbow blended colors and some gold. What do you think?
THANK YOU for visiting me today and I hope you are inspired to create something special for your loved ones. Have a fabulous blessed day!
