Stencil Sunday | Dry Embossing With Stencils

Hello everyone! It is Sunday Stencil day! I would like to share 4 ways you can use your stencils for dry embossing.

Yes! You can use stencils for dry-embossing with your cutting/embossing machine.

I use Gemini Junior to emboss all these backgrounds. I tried couple ways of sandwich-ing the plates to get good enough result. You need to check your machine sandwich for this technique, sometimes you need to try different ways like I did. You will need a rubber embossing that made specially for your machine. This rubber mat is a must have in bitween the sandwich plates.

I am sharing thes four embossed backgrounds on STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday Feature Blog Post that I created using: Brick Wall ARTplorations Stencil, Faces: Beauty ARTplorations Stencil, Petals 3 ARTplorations Stencil, and Arrow Which Way ARTplorations Stencil.

Isn’t that amazing that you can use your stencils in many different ways? I hope today you can try this technique and share your projects with our Stencil Challenge this month.

  1. These are all fabulous ideas. I love how pretty the girl turned out. You’re right about needing the rubber mat. I have tried embossing with paper shims, but it just didn’t work well.

  2. The embossing with the partial coloring is exciting…never thought of that! I kinda did the impression thingy once using my rubber mat the wrong way and didnt connect that it was an option to achieve your effects. Duh? Gonna try it soon. Thanks. I do love your ideas! Stay crafty, be safe and Thanks!❣

  3. Great look at the technique. I haven’t tried this yet, so I look forward to using some of these ideas.
