The Last Five Minute Friday 2011

This is it. We are at the end of the year. Where are those days gone by? I don’t know exactly the answer to that question, but I am sure each one of us have our own answer to it.

Today, it will be the last post of the Five Minute Friday in 2011. I know it’s been a while I didn’t write but today, I would like to share some things in 5 minutes. Yes, only in 5 minutes. No editing.

If you are new to this one, you can visit Lisa-Jo’s website, the Gypsy Mama, and link your post there. Here’s a little bit from it:

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.

2. Link back here and invite others to join in.

3. Most important: visit, comment, encourage the person before you.

Are you ready? Just in 5 minutes, you can share what is in your heart and mind….

Here’s the word of the day:

O P E N

Ready… Set…. Go!

Open. Being open is not my thing. It’s not what I wanna do in my life.

Being open is hard for me. But one day in 2002, God really changed me.

He opened my eyes to see, opened my ears to hear, and opened my heart to his.

Though, still being open is hard for me. Being open to God is different.

Hard, but POSSIBLE. The only question is:

“DO I WANT TO BE OPEN TO GOD?”

I did. I tried. And I still do it until now.

Being open to God is amazing! Nothing that I can hide from him, because he search each heart.

He search my heart, my mind and my soul. He knows and sees every single thing in my life.

He wants me to respond him, his calling.

Yes, being open to God is about to answer his calling, to respond to his voice in my life and yours.

So be open and you will see how wonderful his power of love touching you life and change your life.

STOP.

Five Minute Friday: Still

Hey today is Friday (like 10 more minutes to midnight ^_^)… and it’s time for 5 Minutes Friday. Today is at the (In)Courage website.

It’s been a while for me. The 5 Minutes Friday is about we write in 5 minutes, no more no less, play the words on the prompt, this week is “Still.”

Okay… here we go…

Still. The very first thing come up in my mind when I read the prompt word for today is “Be still and know that I am God.” This verse is an answer and confirmation for me, the reply from God for what I’ve been praying in this week.

We have postponed the plan to go to Chicago for a conference because we didn’t have enough money for it. Then earlier this week we got an e-mail from a missionary and he asked us to go with him to the conference and help him to share the needs and ministry in Indonesia. We don’t know what to say because we know we cannot go or even register for financial wise. But we kept on praying until 2 days ago I got an e-mail a friend who has been praying with me for something that my husband and I hope to see how God leads us to go and to do his will. That’s the first confirmation for us that God wants us to go.

I asked God for one more confirmation from the Word of God. And today I got this verse clearly I heard inside my heart and head saying that we need to be still and know that he is God, the God who is calling us and will equip and provide whatever we need to accomplish his calling and plan. It’s not about us. It’s about God. If we can go, it’s not because we have money or we can, but it’s all because of God and his will be done.

Being still is not easy for me and my husband. Our mind cannot stop thinking about how we could get the money, or what we should do to get more money, or how much money we should put aside so we could get enough, or even how we can get the money to pay the registrations on time, and more and more. The more we thing about it, the more see clearly that there’s no way we can make it. But God order us to be still and know that God is God.

From my understanding being still is stay still, don’t do anything base on human mind or way. By being still means we wait upon God in prayer and Spirit, then we will know who God is, what he can do, and we will see and know more of him, we will get the answer.

So that what we are going to do, “Be still and know that God is God.”

Five Minute Friday: Wonder

Soputan Mt., North Sulawesi, Indonesia (by Dave Gullett, 06:00 AM local time, 2008/08/16)

I am thinking about this Friday topic for 2 days! The topic of this 5 Minute Friday is “W.O.N.D.E.R.” One think that I could think about this word is what God has been doing in my life since 9 years ago.

As a verb, one of the descriptions of the word wonder is desire or be curious to know something. That was what I did up till 10 years ago. I was wondering if my life would be different and changed and if I would have hope and better future. And a year later, yes, it was 10 years ago I found the answer. God found me and opened my eyes to the real God and experience his unconditional love and eternal hope that I have in Jesus Christ.

That is what I call “The Wonder”, all what God has been doing in my life since the day he found, redeemed and saved me. Up till now, He still do his wonders in my life, my families and friends. The wonders that Jesus did when he as on earth never just stop there when he went up to heaven and sit on the right hand of God, but those wonders are still happening up till now and even continue until Jesus comes back in his glory.

Five Minute Friday: Home

Go.
Home is the most place I always wanna be in my life.
Home is where I was born.
Home is where I grew and learned to walk.
Home is where I learned about life.
Home is where I find my love.
Home is where I learn to love and be loved.
Home is where I raise my little girl.
I have homes here on Earth and I know well in my soul that I will have a place in my Father’s home.
I miss my home.
Stop.

Five Minute Friday: Backwards

It’s friday and I was wondering what the topic will be. This topic is not easy for me but I will try to write something.

Go.

Backwards. I started to think that I wish I could walk backward and find the time again and fix whatever needed to be fixed.

I can think nothing but wish my past is different.
