Our Children Were Dying…

It’s about 1 year ago my husband and I went to a concert and there when we were introduced to World Vision (we have heard about this organization but never had direct communication with the staff). We visited their table and asked the lady if they have a boy or a girl from Indonesia. After looking for a while, they finally found a boy. His name is Rafi. That day we fell in love with him and we decided to sponsor him through World Vision. We have received few letters from him and knowing that God is providing his needs and family through World Vision ministry to the community. Rafi can go to school now and he’s at the 3rd grade. Building relationship with our boy and communicating with him are a great encouragement for us and we bring praise only to God.

And you also can do the same thing. You can glorify God through your gifts to sponsor children from all over the world, including from Indonesia, you can be part of God’s plan for these children, you share the hope and faith in Christ through this ministry. There are a lot of them are waiting for God to show his love and mercy through His followers and believers. That is YOU.

Here’s a short story form a Guatemala.

Happy Papa’s Day

A great blessing in our life. Papa, we love you!

Today is all of us celebrating Father’s day. The day when we specially remember of our Fathers and make them special. But not only today that we have to remember and treat our fathers SPECIAL, but EVERYDAY!

This is my prayer for my father and Dave, as a father. They are so special in my life and Abigail’s. This prayer also for all the fathers in the world.

Prayer & Mission

“Climbing Higher” is one of the books that I’ve been reading lately. It’s an inspiration for the Cross-Cultural Church Planter by Roger Dixon. Roger and his Wife, Jan have been involved in evangelism and church planting among the Muslims for more than 40 years. The whole family moved to Indonesia in 1964 and studied extensive culture study for four years. They worked among the one of the largest unreached people group in Indonesia.

The book inspires, motives and encourages me so much in this preparation times. We are planning to do mission work in one of these Muslim majority countries. Be honest, I am struggling, spiritually and emotionally. It’s not only me and myself that will go, but now the whole family. It’s not only me that need to prepare myself, but also the whole family.

I found this statement change my perspective of prayer and be a prayer support to others and I hope it will change yours, too.

Malay of Indonesia

Malay of Indonesia

The Malay people (2,370,000 people) are believed to have originated in Borneo and then expanded outwards into Sumatra and other regions, including Indonesia. These people were descendants of Austronesian-speakers who migrated from the Philippines and originally from Taiwan. Malays practiced Buddhism, Hinduism, and their native Animism before converting to Islam in the 15th century.
