DIY Mini Embroidery Hoop Ornaments

For this month hop, I created these 4 mini embroidery hoop arts. They are perfect as ornaments because the hoop is 4″ mini size. But they also will make cute home decor during the Holidays 🙂

Supplies you need for this projects are:

White Pines Paper Packet
White Pines Complement
Red Enamel Gems
Fern Thick Twine
Sparkle Clear Assortment
Stamp Sets: Christ Is Born, Reason For The Season
Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad: Black, Cranberry
VersaMark™ Ink Pad
Ranger™ Silver Super Fine Embossing Powder
Ranger™ Princess Gold Embossing Powder
Craft Heater
Liquid Glass
Non-Stick Micro-Tip Scissors
3D Foam Tape
My Acrylix Block:1″ x 3 1/2″, 3″ x 3″, 4″ x 5″
4 Mini Embroidery Hoop (I got mine at Walmart)

Making them is easy and fun:

Cut the papers in 4.25″ square.
Glue the hoop on the paper using Liquid Glass.
When it is dry well (only take a minute to dry), cut along the edge of the hoop.
Decorate them with the White Pines Complements, Red Enamel Gems and Sparkle Clear Assortment.
For the Glory To God Hoop, trace the hoop with pencil, then stamp and heat emboss the images. Then glue the hoop and cut the edge.
Add the Fern Thick Twine (I cut 6″ long for each hoop) and tie up to make a hoop to hang it.

I really enjoy making them and they will be a gift for my daughter’s teacher. We had our first Parent-Teacher meeting with her and so thankful to get to know her more. We heard a lot of of amazing stories from our daugther about her teacher. She adores her!

And I will make more when I have a chance to get more mini embroidery hoops using the leftover supplies I have 🙂

I cannot get my project done to share with you today because I have 2 sick kids. My youngest one has cough and sinus infection and then the big one came home today and having fever. I had to stop working on my project to be with them for the rest of the day. We hope and pray they will be well soon!

Expressing Gratitude With Handmade Cards

Thanksgiving Holiday is getting closer. This is one of our favorite Holidays. This is the season we focus on giving thanks to the Lord for all the blessings.

There are many ways we can express our gratitude to others. One way I love is by sending them handmade cards. You pour your love into the cards you make for them and they will appreciate every moment you spend to make it for them.

Today I am sharing some the cards I made as part of the Joyful Stars Blog Hop this month. If you arrived from Marie’s blog then you are on the right track 🙂 The blog hop starts at Joyce’s blog where you can find the whole list of participants.

All cards I made are using the new stamp set, Harvest Wreath (D1662). This one stamp set has lots of beautiful images you can use for Fall theme projects.

The first card, I stamped the wreath straight on the White Daisy card base and added the stamped embellishment, sequins and sparkle clear on it.

The Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors is the best sciccors to fussy cut.

Woodgrain Embossing Folder (Z1996) – you can use CTMH embossing folders with any kind of die cut machine like Cuttlebug, Evolution Advanced, Evolution, etc.

Sneak Peek: A Mini Album For Papa

Many Smiles Begin With You

Welcome to Joyful Stars April Blog Hop. This is a monthly blog hop from a group of Close to My Heart Independent Consultants.

This time I made a note card featuring Smiles Begin With You Stamp Set, Blossom Paper Packet, Sequins Gold Assortment and Stitching Guide.

Creating the chalkboard looking card is very easy. On a piece of Black cardstock, stamp the sentiment with VersaMark ink pad and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder. Then, using a piece of paper towel or tissue, with circular motion add the White Daisy Pigment Ink all over the cardstock. And I usually dry the pigment ink using Craft Heater for quick drying, but you can let it sit on the side for air-drying if you are not in hurry.

Then I add the banners I cut form Blossom Paper Packet and add at the corner of the card using adhesive runner. Using the Stitching Guide and Stitching mat + needle set (retired, but I recommend to get this Stitching Mat). I stitched them by hand. These Stitching Guide and Mat is very easy to use for card-making and scrapbook layouts.

I finished my card with some Sequins Gold Assortment. I love all CTMH Sequins Assortment because they have adhesive already, just ready to use on projects.
