Hello June. Can’t you believe it? We are in the middle of 2016 now! WOW… And Summer has arrived here in Southern Ohio for sure 😀 We cannot keep the girls not to go outside this time of year. They love being outside, just playing whatever.

Today I have an exciting news to share with you. Starting this month, I am designing for Scrapping Everyday Miracles Challenge Blog. I was their past designer and I took a long break, and now I am back to be one of their design team members. I am so thankful to be part of this challenge blog where we all can share our miracles that God has done for us in our every day life through our projects.

Here is my take on this month’s challenge for Scripture Inspiration Challenge – Hebrew 11:1

We often or maybe always hear people preach on this verse. For me, my faith in Christ Jesus is my every day miracle that God has done and still is doing in my life. Without faith we cannot please our God. Faith is the confidence we have for what we hope for that will actually happen. Faith gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

We have faith in Christ Jesus because of what He had done even we do not see that. It is a past experience that we have hope on what God will be doing in our lives based on what Jesus had done on the that cross. It is the confidence we have based on a past experience that God’s new and fresh surprise and amazing work in our lives will surely be ours.

From the NLT Life Application Study Bible, it says that the beginning point of our faith is believing in God’s character that He is who He says. And the end point is believing in God’s promises that He will do what He says.

We have hope in our faith. We have hope since the beginning we put our faith in Christ Jesus, we live out our faith and until the end of time we still standing still on our faith. All because of believing in who God is and in His promises.

I am using the ESV Interleaved Journaling Bible that they just released early this year. My husband pre-ordered this Journaling Bible last Christmas for my “Late Christmas Present” 😀 This Journaling Bible has a blank page on other page where we have plenty space to do art journaling. On my page, I did a mixed media page based on the verse.

First I added some acrylic paints (Neon Yellow and Neon Green) with old credit card. Mixed them all to cover all the page. Then I used toilet tissue roll to add some of the circles randomly on the page using Violet acrylic paint. Next is using the bubble packaging, I added some of those circles randomly on the page with Brilliant Red acrylic paint, because I dabbed it on top of the Yellow/Green colors, it turned into bright/neon orange. Since they are acrylic paints, they dried pretty fast that I do not have to heat set with my craft heat gun, also I was not in hurry 🙂

When the page dry completely, I stamped the words from Neat and Tangled – Bible Journaling stamp set and Latina Crafter – Be A Blessing Collection (Trust In The Lord stamp set) with CTMH – Black Archival Ink Pad. I wrote my journal in between the stamping. To finish the page, I added some washi tapes from Stephanie Ackerman – Documented Faith collection. I use my favorite india archival ink pens from Sakura Micron pens for journaling.

Recently I took an online Bible Journaling class from Sandy Allnock (you can check this class here). I did not prep my page with any gesso like other people like to do that to prevent leaking. As you can see, on the back of the page, the is no leaking at all. Ghosting or shadow of what I did yes but that will be cover easily with the next project I will do on this page. It is easier and have more freedom to use my supplies what’s on my hands, but, you can prep your page with Clear Gesso to avoid leaking if you use lots of water or do more watercolor painting on it, or use dye inks on your page. Because they will leak through your page if not. All is up to you 🙂 In the classroom Sandy explains all about it.

I hope you inspire to create today and hope to you playing with us this month! Can’t wait to see your projects that showing what God has done/is doing in your life.

Thank you for visiting and God bless you!

Always Pray And Do Not Lose Heart

Untitled

Jesus loved teaching using parables when He was with his disciples or among the crowd. He used parables because he wanted them to know who God was and His Kingdom.

In the last 3 weeks, I have been doing the Growing Through Prayer study from Love God Greatly (you can get the study book journal here). This is a journey of faith for me, to live a prayerful life. It is not easy because in reality there are too many challenges to focus and set aside time to just pray. But here’s an amazing and great news to all of us, God, our Loving Heavenly Father, gives us the Holy Spirit to help us to pray and to pray for us when we do not know what to say. Holy Spirit knkws exactly what God’s will for us. We need to humble ourselves and surrender under His authority and grace to grow in our prayer lives.

The parable of the persistent widow is one of the parables Jesus used to teach them to pray. It is interesting isn’t? Especially when we read the passage, the widow pleaded her case before an unjust judge.

What is actually Jesus trying to show us from this passage?

I learned these 3 lessons from this parable:

  • Always ask = never stop praying.
  • Do not lose heart if there is a delay = have faith
  • God is just = He will act justly and quickly

In prayer, we come before the throne of the Just God with faith and hope. Do not lose heart, Jesus said. It is not only a suggestion, it is a command for us to keep praying until God answers according to His will.

How long?

That is uncertain. God is the one who knows the best time to answer our prayers.

Do not lose heart in waiting for His answer.

I pray God will encourage your hearts today while waiting for His answer to your prayers.

Hope In God Who Gives Refuge

I am thankful both of my daughters are early risers 🙂 And it is a big challeng for me to get up earlier than them to give myself enough time to do my morning devotion time. But this week, The Big Girl had 2 days of 2 hours delay and 3 days no school (Monday was Martin Luther, Jr. Day and 2 Snow days). It was a short week of school and our days at home were full with noises, laughs, cries, games and never stop calling “Mama, I want this…” or “Mama, I am hungry!”

Those are some of those days when I cannot do my quite time in the mornings so I take some time in between days. And even sometimes both girls sat with me doing devotion together and painting. Moments I treasure with my God and my daughters.

My daughters are not distractions in my life, they are blessings from God!

This week I learned one character of God as the Father who cares for His children and God who gives refuge for those who seek for His help. In Ruth chapter 2, Naomi and Ruth had no hope when they went back to Bethlehem. Naomi was too old to work and Ruth was willing to give up her comfort life back in Moab. Ruth dedicated her life to take care of her mother-in-law.

image

Back in Bethlemen, Naomi was a foreigner. I can relate. I am a foreigner here in my husband’s country. I followed him back to Ohio out of love and trusting that God knows the life in this foreign country way before I set my foot in the country.

Ruth decided to go out to gather grain in the field with hope that the people who worked there would show her favor and let her collecting the grain on the ground for their food. God showed her His kindness and favor through the workers.

Then Boaz came home from his trip and he let her stayed with the women workers, ate and drank with them, and kelt collecting grain. She was surprised by his kindness to her becuase she was a foreigner in the lamd of Israel.

For Ruth, everything is “just happened” at that moment but for Naomi, even she was bitter, she knew in her heart that God took care for them and sent Boaz as the family redeemer.

image

Boaz said something amazing that changed Ruth’s view of being a foreigner. Boaz encouraged her with the truth that God will reward her for all kindness she has shown to her mother-in-law, putting her trust in the God of Israel and taking refuge under His wings.

Boaz gave Ruth hope by letting her know that God who would reward her and take care of her and Naomi.

Take Refuge under the wings of God Almighty. There is hope in the Lord. He will take care of us when we take refuge (rest; stay; take residence) under His wings (His place; His presence) every day as long as we live.

image

Often we say “just happened” in our every day life, but to God, that is more than mere coincidence. He is working in our lives in ways we may not even notice.

There is hope when we put our trust in Him to meet our needs in time of “famine”. Trusting Him gives us hope in hard circumstances that seems impossible to us to go through.

God has sent Jesus, the redeemer. He sent Jesus to give us hope for the future. He sent Jesus to save us from the death. All because He cares for you and me.

Let God do what he can do in your life today. You will be amazed!

This week journaling is a challenge for me to leave my comfort zone and step into new thing. I have been learning about mixed media and this page is a mixed media page. I used Gelatos, Acrylic paint, embosimg paste, stamping and stickers. Started with a mess and turned out to be an adoration for God.

Like our lives, when we surrender and take refuge under His wings, there is hope God will turn lives into what he has planned for us since the beginning.

May God bless you richly this weekend!

Hope In God Who Cares

Ruth 1:1-22

This is hope. That our God cares for us, provides our needs and He even enables us to walk by faith every day.

First chapter of Ruth has a lot to say about it. She took a bold step to go with Naomi returning to Bethlehem with had nothing planned or even promises for her future. Naomi warned her that she would not get any benefit to follow her. But Ruth’s bold statement in verse 16 showed her perspective of how she saw her future. Her determination changed Naomi’s perspective of Ruth and her movite behind her decision.

I am pretty sure she heard about who God is when she lived with her husband and family. But them she also heard how Naomi blamed God for her losts and hard time. Yet still Ruth wanted to make Him her God. But why?

Ruth saw there was hope. She found hope in God of Israel in time of uncertain of her own future. She just trusted Him! She trusted in God whom she heard, especially when they returned to Bethlehem. She witnessed what God had done to His people after the long famine years they experienced.

There is hope in God who cares. There is hope in Him who workes in each of His children’s lives to meet their needs, to enable them to walk by faith every step they take. And WE ARE HIS CHILDREN! He cares for us!

My dear friends, there is hope in God who cares for you! I pray today for you to have hope only in Heavenly Father who loves you unconditionally. May God bless your faith richly today!
