I am at 20 weeks

Today the baby is 20 weeks. At the doctors office, we got to see the baby again. She smiled at us! So amazing! This made my day!

Don’t you think these little feet are cute?

Little Feet

We cannot wait to find out next month…. is it a girl or a boy? Either it will be a great blessing for us 🙂 So thankful for God’s hand that forming the baby in my womb, that He has the baby’s days written in His book of life, and He holds the baby’s future. Amazing you are, O God!

Equip #14: First Week

There are more than 2000 languages that need Bible Translation, 350 million people never heard of the Good News!

We started every morning with Meditation on God’s word and worship. Our class started right after the morning worship until noon, then we took lunch break, and came back to class again until 4 p.m. This first week of our Equip Training we covered lots of stuff including orientation about the organization and vision 2025, translation methods, public speaking skill and modules, financial and ministry budgeting, missionary kids and issues, moral issues, life resources, media, and practicing for our partnership development.

They equipped us with a lot of materials, resources, ideas and life testimonies from each staff. We had a chance to meet the President of Wycliffe USA, Bob Creson (follow his Twitter here) and his wife. On Friday morning worship, we had an opportunity to hear a great testimony from George Cowan, a 94 years old Wycliffe member. His testimonies were encouraged us to take our steps in faith and dependent on God through prayer is the most important in doing ministry. He said that only God who can open the doors and provide every single things that we need and will need on the field. God is our greatest resources!

Testimony from The Cresons

Many of you might ask how Abigail is doing. She is doing very well at her class every day! Yes, she LOVES her class, teacher and friends. It is an answer to our prayer. Every morning she couldn’t wait to go to her class. On the second day she told me, “Mama I like school.” I was so surprised when she said that. My girl is ready to go to school! She is a big girl now. Can’t believe it. Time flies so fast.

The other fun things we did this week were swimming, walking around the complex, ice cream day, and we had a quite adventure taking pictures at the studio and outdoor.

We had a fruitful first week of training. We would like to thank you all for all your prayer for us. God is listening to your prayers and He is faithful! So thankful for all of you! Thank you for sending us to come to this training! God bless you abundantly!

Equip #14: Arrival

Atlanta, GA in the night from above

We made it.

Our trip was great. The unexpected things I experienced this time were: Abigail was SOOOOO EXCITED about flying and she was all about it. She even couldn’t wait until we got on the next flight when we were layover about an hour at Atlanta International Airport. She kept on saying, “Wanna go on the plane?,” or “Mama, look I am flying,” and she would keep on counting down from 10-1 and then shouted “Blast off!” on top her lungs on the airplane. Honestly, I was a little bit nervous about what she would think or feel about flying this time. She flew before when she was 14 months to Indonesia and it was another adventure for all of us. But this time, God truly took care of her and prepared her in a way that I cannot imagine. I know there were a lot of people were praying for us yesterday and God has answered all your prayer! Yes, we did had a good and safe flights.

This Is Why We Are Going

The Bible

How many Bible versions or in how many languages do you have at home? Yes, we have a lot at home. My husband went to Bible Collage so he has several versions on his desk, and I has several from Indonesia. This not counting various versions we have on our electronic devices. We have access to all kind of Bible version as we want, at anytime, and from any device. But,

Today about 340 million people do not have any Scripture in their language. Wycliffe’s vision is to see the Bible accessible to all peole in the language they understand the best. To make this vision reality, Wycliffe also focuses on Community development, literacy development and church partnerships. (Wycliffe.org)

We went to Summer Short Mission Trips (called Discovery trip) with Wycliffe in 2006-2008, we searched, experienced the live of missionaries, connected with the locals, discovered and confirmed by God that this is our calling.

Then, last year we sent our application to Wycliffe and after going through all the membership application and background screening process, we got accepted as members on February 22, 2012. It was an answer to our prayers for about 6 years. God has been leading us step by step, and we still trust Him to lead and guide us further more to bring the Good News of Kingdom of God to those who haven’t heard about it in the language they understand the best. After doing the 6 weeks Equip online training, we are now at the next step.

We are going to Equip Onsite training with Wycliffe USA this week!

Easter Egg Hunt

"You Love bind us in unity, O God, together we come to worship you, O Lord, our Savior and Living King!"

Abigail was TOO Excited for this Egg Hunting experience. She actually knew what to do and what to expect when she opened her eggs (plastic eggs!). We went to a Combine Easter Service of 4 Indonesian churches (IBC, IFGF, ICF and Catholic) in Columbus on Easter afternoon. After praise and worship time, they released all the children out to their rooms, divided them in 2 age-categories (so the big kids won’t get the little kids’ eggs… hehehehe….). From there, there where some ladies helped this kids to have their Easter Egg Hunt adventure begun!
