Not too long anymore…

Dear All,

Time flies and I have been getting through the pregnancy for 9 months. These past 3 weeks are my full-term weeks. The baby can arrive any time. I am having the contraction more and stronger each day, uncomfortable when I lay down and swelling feet and hands. But all these things cannot stop us to rejoice and feel so excited to see and hold her in our hands.

Praise the Lord, last Wednesday (Feb 25th), we went to visit my OB and midwife for the last check up. We also had the last USG for the baby. Based on the result, they suggested me to have C-section because the baby is way too big now and if we wanna wait until the due date, she will be way way too big for my Indonesian size! After discussing and consulting all the advantages and disadvantages of having Caesarean-section, and also how to recover from the surgery, we decided to have C-section to deliver the baby on Wednesday, March 4th morning. They expect me to be at the hospital by 5.30 a.m EST (5.30 p.m Jakarta time). And they will have to do some test on me before the surgery. I kindda nervous and afraid, but we trust God for what will happen on that day. Please pray with us for that day. The baby was about 4 kg last week, and she will be a bit bigger when she is born this Wednesday.
Please pray with us on that day for the surgery, strength, comfort, peace and our health, that God take over the process and every thing is going smooth and success. God bless the doctor and nurses. Pray also for Helen to recover from the surgery.

And another news is about the adjustment status process. Praise God that on Wednesday evening after we came back from the doctor, we got a letter fro USCIS Columbus about my finger printing&biometrics schedule. It’s going to be on March 10th, at 3 p.m., at Columbus office. So, we will go to Columbus on Tuesday for the finger print. We have consulted it with my OB and she said that it’s safe for me to do traveling if there is no complication during the surgery and if I have enough rest after the surgery. We don’t wanna reschedule it because we don’t have any idea how long it will take to reschedule the finger printing. But if if if there’s something happen during the surgery and I couldn’t go traveling, then Dave will send the reschedule letter to the USCIS office as soon as possible with overnight post service. We still have time to do that. Our biggest hope of prayers are every thing is under God’s control and every thing is gonna be alright, for we will have safe trip to Columbus, and the fingerprints and biometrics is going smooth and success.

Praise God that it’s half way to go! After this finger printing and biometrics scan, we are waiting for the next interview schedule that could be anytime and probably will be in California, who knows. They will send us another notification letter about it. Pray for the best time for the interview and God will prepare us to be ready at that time.

We are praising God for all what has happened and what will happen in our life.
Let’s praise God together for He is so wonderful and so faithful. His mercy, favor and blessings are new every time.

Thank you so very much for all your supports for us!

In Christ Jesus’ love,

Helen (for Dave and Little One)

Masa-masa pembentukan (Maz 139)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Celebrating the birth of Jesus…
…and all that God has done for us this year

We have so much to praise God for this year!

The first months of 2008 were spent preparing for our wedding and work
on Helen’s visa to the U.S. God provided all the needs for both processes and
gave us strength through some tough days.

Our wedding was a wonderful day with friends and family at Helen’s
church in Jakarta. God provided Helen’s visa and we could not be more
grateful.

Our weeks helping lead the Discovery team on its mission trip to
Indonesia were exciting, challenging and such a blessing to both of us.
After Discovery, we spent a few weeks visiting friends and family around
Indonesia and during this time it was confirmed that we are expecting our
first child, such amazing and wonderful news and a wonderful gift from the
Lord.

Since arriving in the U.S. we have been preparing for the next steps in
our lives and are excited that Helen’s status to stay here is in process, another
great blessing, as this process is difficult indeed.
As we spend our first Holiday season together we are so thankful to all
off you that God has used to bless our lives this year.

In Progress

Dearest Supporters, Friends and Family,

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Let’s thank God for the salvation in Jesus Christ, grace, love, hope, every blessings, helps, protections, directions, and for every single thing that God has given in our life since the beginning. He is the only one to be praised. Every day is Thanksgiving day for God.

We also would like to thank you for always supporting us in your prayers. So thankful to God for the answers. Yes, indeed, God has answered your prayers. In God alone we have hope for He is the faithful God. His mercies are always new every morning. For it is good waiting upon God (Lamentations 3:20-26).

In November, a weak before the Thanksgiving day, we were able to sent my adjustment status forms to the government and also God has provided the money to pay the fee which was wonderful blessings to us through some people. Also, we already got the notification letter from the government on December 1st which was faster than we thought would be. This notification letter saying that they have accepted the money and the forms, and it is on going process now.

The next step is I have to wait for the next letter from the government for finger prints and other biometrics that need to be done. They will determine which office and the date of the finger prints. So, I can stay here legally as long as the process even though my visa is expired. But I cannot leave the country as the process is on going. If we need to go back to Indonesia for emergency reason, we have to write another letter to the government asking for permission to leave the country. If not they will cancel the process.

Thank you so much for always supporting us in prayers and financial needs. We are so thankful to God for all of you in many ways. We are rejoice in the Lord for He is mercy endures forever and He works in many ways to make a way for all of us when we need His help.

Please continue pray with us for the adjustment status and green card process so that will goes smooth. Pray that God will provide the needs for the next steps of the process, such as the right time for the finger prints and interview will goes smooth as God gives us wisdom and right words to answers the questions, comfort our hearts so we won’t be nervous and God bring us to meet the right person to interview us.

Once again, thank you so so much for all your supports in our lives and ministry.

All glory and praises be unto God in Jesus Christ,

Helen, for Dave and the little one.

Thanksgiving is a moment to thank God

Dear all supporters, friends and family,

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! So thankful for God’s faithfulness, love, grace, mercy and blessings!

Psalm 136 is a long list how Israel gave thanks to the Lord for He was so God to them. This part of the book of Psalm shows us how God became the good, powerful, and faithful God to them, also shows us how God stood by His people day and night, wherever they were. For instance, when Israel had to fight with their enemies in the deserts, or on top of the mountains, God always brought victories for them as long as they did not turn away from Him, as long as they kept His commandment in their lives.

This is the Psalm of thanksgiving of the Israel to God. I believe that even until now He still shows His people how faithful He is. He is the God who never change and never forsake those who love and believe in Him. We are His children, redeemed by the blood His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. He is our God and He makes us His people. How wonderful this truth is that He keeps his promises to save us because He so loves the world. That’s the first of the whole list of our thanksgiving to God for what He has done in our lives.

The next things, you may add them to the list of your thanksgiving to God as many as you can remember and you can count His love, blessings, grace, mercy, helps, and etcetc… etc… I believe that it’s gonna be an endless list ever!

So do we, Dave and I have a long long list to thank God for all He has done, for what He is doing, and for what He will do in and through our lives. This thanksgiving moment, we would like to THANK GOD for:

1. The love that He has put in our hearts for Him and to each other.
2. The blessings at our wedding ceremony in Indonesia and USA.
3. The ways He works on Helen’s visa process and adjustment status process. He has showed us how wonderful He has been working through the processes and how He has been providing all the needs.
4. The opportunity to spent the summer in Indonesia by taking part in the Discovery Trip 2008. It’s been a wonderful and challenging trips for both of us.
5. The family and relatives in USA and Indonesia who have been such great blessings to both of us. Thanks God for their hospitality and kindness that they have been showing us and so thankful for their supports in our lives.
6. The Local Church and the congregation of the church that always support us. So thankful to God for the opportunity for Dave to serve at this church as a deacon.
7. Dave’s job at propane company. So thankful for his boss and co-workers. Thanks the Lord for providing our needs through this job.
8. Our health. So thankful for the good health and physical strength for Dave, Helen and the baby during the pregnancy.

We are praising God for providing us a place to stay at Dave’s grandma’s house in Ohio. Also, so thankful that Dave’s mom moved back with us early November. They are great blessings to us in many ways.
The city where we live is very different with my home town. It is cooler and nice, no pollution, green and no heavy traffic. The house is not far from the church and Dave’s office. So thankful for this blessings.

We specially want to thank you all for always support us in many ways that give so much joy in our hearts. We can see how God has provided our needs of encouragement, strength, comfort, wisdom, health, finance, etc. through you all. We praise God for you and your givings.

Last but not least, our pray for you all God continue pour out His heavenly blessings upon you, your family, and your ministry.

All the glory, praises and honor to th
e Father in heaven!

Yours,
Helen (for Dave and the baby)
