Two Types of Thinkers

This post from Michael Hyatt, Two Types of Thinkers: Which Are You? really a good. I would like to share with you all here. The two types of thinkers are abundance thinker and scarcity thinker. I really like those terms. Michael explained each type with 8 characteristics:

Abundance Thinker:

  1. They believe there is always more where that came from.
  2. They are happy to share their knowledge, contacts, and compassion with others.
  3. They default to trust and build rapport easily.
  4. They welcome competition, believing it makes the pie bigger and them better.
  5. They ask themselves, How can I give more than is expected?
  6. They are optimistic about the future, believing the best is yet to come.
  7. They think big, embracing risk.
  8. They are thankful and confident.

Scarcity Thinker:

  1. They believe there will never be enough.
  2. They are stingy with their knowledge, contacts, and compassion.
  3. They default to suspicion and find it difficult to build rapport.
  4. They resent competition, believing it makes the pie smaller and them weaker.
  5. They ask themselves, How can I get by with less than is expected?
  6. They are pessimistic about the future, believing that tough times are ahead.
  7. They think small, avoiding risk.
  8. They are entitled and fearful.

Less Than 60 Days

Remember what I told you yesterday? It would be withing 60 days, believe it or not ,but I got it today. I am holding my new Green Card now!

So thankful, so excited, and so amazed with what has happened in my life one day at a time God shows his faithfulness. I believe that he has perfect plan for me to be a permanent resident but I know well that it is not all about being in this comfort zone forever.

Live and learn, then go and teach, be the witness of what God has done in and through our life, that’s the main goal of mine and my family.

Be God all the glory and honor!

Pulling Out The Weeds

Before and After

It was at least 85 degree F (or 29.4 degree C).

It was hot and sunny.

It was 4:30 p.m.

I was tired and sleepy, craving for nap a little bit before we got companies for dinner. But I just kept myself busy inside and outside. After watering my plants, I saw the weeds at one of our flower beds were so tall and were fighting to take over the space from my Gladiolus plants. Not good, I thought. So I sit there on the short wall and started pulling them out. One by one without gloves (I throw them away because got soak in the rain storms and gross!).

It was about in half way to go, my head was getting hot and I was about to give up and stop doing it, I suddenly heard a soft little voice but so clear in my heart and head speaking to me about one of the parable that Jesus told the people. It was in Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43.

Well-Nourished

They are waiting for the whole Bible to be translated

A Quechua Bible translator of Peru stated, “Getting our spiritual food from the Spanish Bible is like trying to eat soup with a fork. We can get a little taste, but cannot get nourished. Using the Quechua Scriptures is like eating soup with a spoon—we can really get well-nourished.”

Lives are spiritually transformed as a result of understanding God’s Word in a language that speaks to the heart!

Our Children Were Dying…

It’s about 1 year ago my husband and I went to a concert and there when we were introduced to World Vision (we have heard about this organization but never had direct communication with the staff). We visited their table and asked the lady if they have a boy or a girl from Indonesia. After looking for a while, they finally found a boy. His name is Rafi. That day we fell in love with him and we decided to sponsor him through World Vision. We have received few letters from him and knowing that God is providing his needs and family through World Vision ministry to the community. Rafi can go to school now and he’s at the 3rd grade. Building relationship with our boy and communicating with him are a great encouragement for us and we bring praise only to God.

And you also can do the same thing. You can glorify God through your gifts to sponsor children from all over the world, including from Indonesia, you can be part of God’s plan for these children, you share the hope and faith in Christ through this ministry. There are a lot of them are waiting for God to show his love and mercy through His followers and believers. That is YOU.

Here’s a short story form a Guatemala.
